Realistic Mesh but Unrealistic Material too perfect could use some scrap paint and brush stroke... But it looks delicious like chocolate bar bridge....
Yes you can reduce it just don't bevel complete object at last and also you could select all the vertices in edit mode then press x then select limited dissolve.

After using unsubdivide change the iteration value to 1
