This is the most relatable video I found on the internet 😭 even i don't really care to create these amazing and fancy looking edits not my thing to do. I like to be simple and more towards storytelling, building a narration through sound design and dropping hints and Easter eggs type of shit I'm more of a film making side editor 💗✨

1, people should realize that people like Iman Gahdzi, Ali abdal and the guy you mentioned at the beginning of the vid. They have a team of video editors. If 1 editor would try to make 1 kind of these videos. it Would take a whole month or 2 and I hate this trend in editing niche right now. (tried 1 animations like Iman, I like it but it took me like 3 hours just to make 5 sec of it)
2, is not hormozi subtitles, or Iman edit that that will make your channel succesfull. You need to build a brand a deliver a good story of engagement through your editing. Looks at channels like Gawx art, Natalie lynn or life of Riza simple editing not fancy animations, but the power of their style is engaemnt through sound and great storytelling.
Dont give up guys, I myself still strugelling with clients right now, but today I just done with my showreel so I just hope in next few days I will find some clients that will pay me fair money for my work.
    Great vid. as always Kyrie.

gawx is one of my inspirations for some of the videos, but I remember he said that it takes months to film and edit one of his videos

@@KyrieQHD Thats true, Gawx is my biggest inspiration, but I will start small and improve little by little, Gawx put lot of effort to put right emotions in to the video. his composition and soud design is next level, but my message is clear, you dont need fancy animation to make banger videos.

If you haven't seen it, check Digital Spaghetti channel (creator of Fiverr), where he asks gawx about his whole process
really cool, he's using the skateboard with a tripod to make smooth camera movement lol

0:54 literal hit what i was thinking last week, i agree totally with the other comment about making edits toward storytelling and more simple, also those that make these animations are not editors, are motion designers (motion graphics, animators, etc...), editor is the person that know what, why and how transmit the message the director (client in this case) wants by visuals and sounds. Literal what you say in this video.

      true!
which is why I guess you should find a way to differentiate yourself somehow, and the most important thing that you should provide not the "amazing animations and VFX"
but Instead you should provide your service as something that will make your client $, or will help them to get more sales or reach any goal that they have with video content
the best way to make sure the client will work with you long term and pay you more $ is to let them know that you're actually interested in them succeeding and have a desire to help them
if they're treating you like a cog wheel, just an average office worker or something, then just leave imo
