Thanx man ……..
great video, subbed.
We both had the same path. I did stop gaming a few years ago because I've noticed that gaming changed. Like you I'm more into single player experiences and it seem like modern gaming is all about multiplayer, making players addicted for as long as possible and squeezing as much money out of them as humanely possible. Elden Ring the one exception and I do want to play that one some day.😆
I Will make high engaging thumbnail for you channel Will you need
It was the same for me, grew up with computers and knew how they worked. When I got to college and played a narrative RPG for the first time, ME in 2007, I was awestruck and began recording it and editing it. That's how I learned the software even though I was doing a different course. 14 years later and I am a professional video editor, working for 10 years now. Those crude videos are still up on my youtube...to be young again...
that’s so cool! I want to become a professional video editor also. Although i’m not sure how to find a job in that field reliably
100% agree. So many self improvement gurus are still unaware that narrative driven games with great emotional and spiritual depth exist. Video games are not just Fortnite and League of Legends...
so true!!!
great video, I appreciate my times I spent gaming, in alot of ways I enjoy editing because it feels like playing a video game once you get into a flow state.. also side note: I ended up so late on the nakey jakey train, dude is so good! His editing is great
His editing truly showed me that it's not about flashy, fancy effects, but something else that you can't really see right away And yeah, editing is like a game, you learn a mechanic and then you can implement it freely and practice, practice Appreciate your comment on this vid, UA-cam algo doesn't really like when I'm switching topics on my channel, hence 100 views instead of 1k Glad to see that I'm not the only editor that is interested in this:)
Are you calling me out?
Quite the opposite:)

Bro the thumbnail is crazy 💀
1000%!! The business part can be so frustrating and at some point I even started thinking I was a bad video editor for not finding clients quick enough. But not landing a client quick enough probably has more to do with your business skills then with your creative skills! I like what you said about think about it from a statistical point of view. Contacting 100 clients and getting rejected 90 times, might feel like 90% failure. But if you look at it as a whole and your objective is 'contacting 100 clients to land one client' then the 90 rejections aren't failures, but part of the process. Good stuff broski, good stuff!
How do I leave myself no other option when doomsrolling twitter is always an option

I have just seen a couple of your videos and had to say that I have been really inspired by your works. Your words of advise are some of the most realistic details on the internet today. Great job bro.
My best part is when the Light went off
I relate to you 100%, guess this happens to all the video editors of all around the world.
Bro, I have good potfolio starting video editing almost 2 years but why can I find clients if I can find by change thay want Iman gadzhi style video but their budget $10 per project. Why this is hapeining.
True, some clients just don't understand what it takes and how much it should cost
Brother how can I contact you ? I need a video editor
UA-cam recommended your video, and it's not a surprise since I am an editor who wants to learn and get better at finding more clients as well. Your "fuck off, good bye" sentence earned a sub LMFAO. It was funny, and I can relate. Great content. Keep it up.
How can I contact you? I need a video editor
i have a question bro, is documentary editing in demand?
I think it's rare A lot of people are doing automation channels with "documentary style" narration and require you to find all the footage and do all the visuals Personally I don't take these kind of jobs
@KyrieQHD like not these type of documentaries but the magnatesmmedia style ! not stock footage stuff that ain't editing
I appreciate this video, thanks :) Very useful
bro I swear to god, I was walking to the gym today with my gf and I was telling her about how I fucking hate how I'm literally not doing any editing, because all day long I'm looking for potential clients, writing emails and sending messages and the one thing I like to do (editing) is the thing I'm not doing a lot of. I'm trying to say is that this video is probably the most relatable stuff I've seen recently. Thank you!

I've been looking for work and your videos are helping me keep my self inspired and motivated thank you.
Stay genuine, brother. Love your videos.
Notification squad😂! Thanks for the videos man. I started learning video editing a few months ago. I picked up davinci resolve and followed all their tutorials and I also did some tutorials from other videos. Even though I learned a lot and I familiarized with the software, now I feel stuck. I guess I should be building a portfolio to display what I learned but I don't know where to start.
Totally understand, in this video I'm actually telling how I started:) It should all come from passion projects in my opinion!
@@KyrieQHD I’m seeing your channel, I have some On-Page SEO Problem in your UA-cam Channel. On-Page SEO Means Your Video Title,Tag,Descriptions optimized. You are not using High Volume and Low competitions keyword research according to your video content.
Hey Kyrie, I'm a part time video editor (short form rn). Can you tell me how do I even find a client who can pay me 30-40$/hr ? I'm a college student and would be happy making around 1k/mo. Btw, very informative video. Thanks for this :)
Search for clients who have products already created and help them to market themselves on YT Small beginner creators who don't have a business behind them will not pay you a lot
@@KyrieQHD Thanks for answering my query. Appreciate it
How can I reach you about video editing? Thanks.
you can text me on Twitter:)
0:15 text effect how?
just a simple subtitle, didn't notice any effects there:)
Liked some of the points, especially enjoying the process one. How long does it take for you to edit a 10 minute video?
appreciate it! it depends to be honest, sometimes it's 10 hours ($300 approximately) for myself I don't do a lot of editing, so I can finish it in 3 hours but I would say with the experience and learning shortcuts, and using a mouse with a lot of buttons, and refining my workflow I could 3x my editing speed
Please do livestream
I'll try my best:)

Hi, Kyrie. Awesome video just like your others. I just want your advise. I start my fiverr video editing gig (video editing niche).Country - Ukraine. And i have some questions of pricing my services in every of 3 packages(don't want to work for 5 dollars like Indians and also don't want to frighten my potential customers with overprice). Could you tell your pricing (approximately) in fiverr when you just started? If it's not a secret
appreciate it! My middle package pricing was around 80$ when I started (10 minute video) sometimes I could spend 3 full days for 80$ but that was normal for the beginning, later I set a minimum price of 150$, but I'm not really updating my fiverr profile anymore (maybe need to do that at some point lol)

I love your videos man! I'm a freelance video editor, and right now I'm struggling to get clients and good pay, as salaries in my country are very low and the role of a video editor is generally undervalued. At the moment, I'm only earning 400 USD a month, but I'm looking for new ways to work with international clients who pay well. My dream would be to reach 3000 USD like you, since with that amount of money in Argentina, you can live very well. Cheers!

Me now l want to quit video editing and switch to graphics design because video editing is require me a lot l don't have like a pc😞😞😞
whatever is possible for you right now man! graphic design is kind of a big part of video creation either way, so It's a must to learn either way imo
@@KyrieQHD thanks man for your motivation 👍

Great insights and take-aways! It was a fun chat! We're still editing the video, trying to get a specific plugin to play ball and work for the edit.🤣
Appreciate it, Orson! nice! need to make those plugins work, the video can wait:)
I bought the rtx 4080 super a few months ago. It's a good card but I can't say it makes a big difference in editing and rendering. If you have a 2080ti or 3080 it's not really worth the upgrade. Maybe for DaVinci Resolve but I use Premiere Pro so I can't make a comparison.
yeah, davinci is more gpu heavy from what I read but I'm currently using either 3060 Laptop or 2060 PC (both 6gb), and I really felt the need to upgrade, because I kinda lock out myself from using more intense effects, masking, animations, etc. thought about going 7900XTX route, but Nvidia is just way ahead in terms of AI related features (magic mask, superscaling, optical flow retime effects, etc.)
This is very true, thanks for breaking this down
Had to log in to my business account to agree on to be able to scale you have to think as a business. No but for real, I create 20 short videos at 100AUD per video per month for a corporate client, these are the most boring edits at times, but yes, a couple of clients like that and you can scale to 10k, 20k, ... I found this client with Google Ads, something I learned for my business. Don't think about yourself as just a video editor because I would never have learned google ads for editing, but for my business, yes. I'm not there yet, don't get me wrong, but I can see how to get there, which is a good step in the right direction I think!
I watch you since you began making these videos, i think we are on a similar path because i have the same obstacles as you: how can i scale after a certain income? I made my youtube channel too because i believe that a personal brand will be key in us scaling this. Wether its courses, youtube promotions, b2b or selling digital products, having a youtube channel shows 2 things: establish credibility- you are not just another reddit random, people from the west or overseas can see you are a real person and 2, creates a space in which you basically advertise yourself with every video you make. I am unsure too what I will do with this, because what helps me earn a lot is not just editing itself but also taking the role of a creative director/producer. I'm from Romania and work with people overseas as well. I think that freelancing can be a thing that brings us a better income than a basic job, and with the extra money we should invest in making this a business (hence giving up on the freelancer identity which is similar to an employer identity and starting to think as a business instead). I'd love to connect with you if you're up to it:) But yeah I don't pass 3k a month neither but 3k for romania is huge as the average salary is 600$ so here's that.
