When I was a teenager I drove my datsun pickup across the railroad trestle a few times. I have a photograph to prove it. A little sketchy back then. Big fines if you get caught in the water shed areas. Across the trestle there is a road through the water shed areas that will eventually take you out to the end of Kent Kangley Rd. I made that trip on a motorcycle and in my little datsun pu a few times.

11:28 looks crazy rough! I bet that was fun to accomplish!
We haven't fully explored Stampede Pass yet, but I'm looking forward to when we can get out there and take our time exploring.
At 21:15 I think I know where you are at. We stopped up there I think about 1 hill over from that spot, although I've got that spot marked for a future visit. It's fun to drove on i90 later on and then look up at the mountains to see where it was we stopped. :) Makes a nice memory every time we drive across the pass (added to our huge collection of memories from up there!).

Rules are Yelled to down hill traffic at most ..It's because the bigger trucks already have the hot breaks and they have right away down hill..

Sorry but i dont give out place names in my videos. I dont want them shared publicly so instead i give highlight of the general area and encourage people to explore it for themselves instead of giving up their secrets.

It’s technical, Not difficult, I ran it a dozen or more times in my life. Every couple years it gets worse cause of the high traffic, RZR’a, dirt bikes, and just over all idiots being idiots. And most damage is cause by people running the trail during the wet season when the trail is susceptible to damage.. I only run the trail in summer when the soil is firm.. if we don’t pull our head out of ass and manage this historic trail, it will get shut down

Howd you go from being at the top of windy gap to being on a railroad bridge? Did i miss something?

It’s challenging, but not difficult, there’s one sketchy spot at the beginning at the east entrance, but you can skip that spot buy going up the nf-19 road about a mile or 2.. however with people being stupid and running in the wet season, it’s causing more erosion of the trail changing it drastically from year to year… tread lightly, means tread lightly. Don’t run the trail in the middle of winter or eventually they will shut that trail to all off-road access

They’re not going to shut it down because people 4 wheel it in the wet Ya Beta
