Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! I have heard of people using rubbing alcohol in paint prep, but a dilution with water to save it from evaporating from the cloth too fast. I can't say that I've used it personally though so wouldn't want to vouch for its performance!
Hilarious. I removed a wrap from a hood on a gmc hd pickup truck 90% of the glue stayed n the hood as it was baked on in the Las Vegas heat. AIN"T NO way I'm sitting there scraping this garbage off inch by inch. Imagine a whole truck....
Question. I bought a work truck 3 -4 month ago. removed 90% of the old decal glue on it. Still have lettering on the hood, tried everything. Can I just wet sand it (1500/2000/3000) then compound it ?
The residue is gonna stick to the sandpaper the minute you start doing it...tried those compounds myself...I'm using hot kettle water and dish soap...works like a charm
Wd40 works love the vids dude , stay safe.👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻
WD40 does not work!! Tried it over & over again!
Spirit wipe or petrol on a rag removes it very easily with zero paint damage
Great fast moving instructions . Thanks
Thank you so much you have saved me a lot of money on detailing
Would isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) clear type work without damaging clearcoat or paint?

Doesn't work on hardened adhesive residue that's been there for years.

Would rubbing alcohol do the same thing as the pre paint/panel wipe you are using? Or would alcohol be weaker? Enjoying your content so far!

Hot water?
Hair dryer.

@@NewsWithYou The 'ol Polyketyl trick!
😍
I use WD-40🤘. Let it solve the glue a bit and then remove with fingernails and cloth
does it safe for paint?
@@packfadlyyep
WD40 and a microfiber cloth. Have removed old masking tape on a grand piano without damage.
That'd not a hack
Mineral spirits
No heat gun here so lacquer thinner it is
WD 40 works just fine
I already chipped paint from my car
Adesive? What happened to the h.
No idea! The car came in with this stuff plastered on it!
