Dans cette sonate avec piano , Mendelssohn fait chanter le grave du violoncelle ; l'interprétation en est merveilleuse ; quelle pourrait bien être la source de ce beau violoncelle?
Selon quelque source (Kronberg Academy) Julia Hagen joue d'un instrument de Francesco Ruggieri (Cremona, 1684), qui lui a été prêté.
