I stack mostly 10 oz bars. My two favorites are the RCM and Britannia. I also have a few of the Sunshine bars with its security feature. I had JM bars which I sold in 2012 (wish I had kept them). I mentioned to my LCS I had RCM bars and he was interested in them and would pay over spot.

I’m a huge fan of the Scottsdale stacker and for the same reason as the RMC bars serialized and a well known trusted mint plus there cool factor is a 10 for sure definitely prefer over the Canadian bars only thing is there not government minted
Not talking about cool factor or vintage more along the lines of government minted generic bullion that has superior Security liquidity and reliability from a well known government mint there’s a ton more other bars I like better . But the RCM is a superior product all around

Great perspective. I have my first 10oz bar coming from SD Bullion that I got on sale. It was one of their “design our choice” items, though. I won’t know which one it is until it comes in. Still excited! I’m sure I’ll enjoy, either way. I’ll keep your words in mind, though. My next goal is to visit my local coin shops. Will keep my eye out for these bars.
I had it in cart the day it came out didn’t pull the trigger then I was regretting it for two years . The price skyrocketed so I figured I’d never get one for the collection then one day my LCS had it in his case for 2+spot I was freaking out trying not to let him see my reaction and got super lucky . Now I’ll never hesitate on the Royal mint bars ever again the next release on the great engraver series is coming out soon I’ll be waiting ha ha 👍🏻 good luck on the hunt I hope you can find one

I just gotten into bars and recently added my first 10oz to my stack. As you mentioned, there’s a bewildering range of bars available for us to stack. Check out silver shield and the mini mintage coins. They’re the best out there imo and no much over spot for how cool the coin is…if you’re a collector or like cool coins.

I like the royal mint bars but i rather get me a CutSaw bar , at the moment they are more econamical . Also Nadir bars are cheaper and have a serial number but they arent from the Gov Mint but still silver is silver
Agreed I like them all but more a hypothetical if we could stack one it would be RCM or the Scottsdale stacker for me . Even though I like a lot more then those two bars I love the Nadir bars I have a bunch great bars and cheap

Definitely prefer the lucky LCS finds on vintage over all else but the RCM bar Is superior because of what it is government minted serialized and recognized. There’s only a couple government mints that do 10oz bars I wonder why that is ? I may have to look into that . Thanks PMG

I like silver i can hold and not really care about, poured cast ect,, these are nice but all people do with them is protect them and are scared shirtless of putting a fingerprint on them so as to preserve that extra $5 when time comes to sell not realising they spent more than that on a capsule. Much prefer90% half dolls n quarters, can do what ya wont with those...to much wasted cash on capsules ect when theoretically its worth the same as any silver.. a tub of pours that can be thrown around the room is much more fun....People want discount if scratched or milky,nothing worse than an over priced milky defected shitty RM bar. Engel Scotty loaf all day baby,, gotta hold it man. All silver is good though, we all have choice..
The best 10 oz bar is the Germania mint bar. Low premium, high quality, shrink wrapped in tight plastic that u barley notice, serialized, comes in high quality box and it's a small compact bar.
Not to me. Just a step up above nadir for finishing. Britannia bars and Canada bars are the best for stacking unless You come across a limited bar at a low premium like the una and the lion release. I wish I would have stacked dozens of those. 10 oz Britannia is on sale 4 $2 over spot right now.
Germania is nice stuff. 4 9’s fine, serial number on every bar, & the shrink wrap with the hologram emblem underneath. High quality and low premium… I like that
I’d say the best to stack are the type with the nesting lips around them. There my favorite to possess is crystalline silver it stacks perfectly in glass jars for a lifetime
RCM’s are definitely among my top 10 ounce bars especially with being .9999 fine, I do like the sheet of 10 Asahi’s and the Scottsdale stackers. Looking forward to the GAW. 👊💪🏼🇺🇸

If I could only stack 10oz bars of one mint/brand, it would have to be Scottsdale Stackers. Compact, serialized, nice looking bars that usually sell between generic and vintage prices.
I definitely love the 10oz stackers I’ve been known to keep a few in the stack and there serialized as well they definitely check all the boxes for great silver bars
I try to lean toward what's more economical for my budget however, that 10 oz Britannia bar is absolutely beautiful and I'm attracted to nice looking bars like that one! Congrats on the milestone btw my friend! 👊
There actually is no serial number lookup for the RCM. A lot of these mints actually don't let you search for anything. It's just tracking for them and some minor security feature. Some folks pay extra for unique numbers but yeah... not actually traceable
Using a serial number is in its self traceable from knowing what lot number, year minted and so on we may not have access to that database but it’s logged for sure which is much better than a bar without a serial number
Great mail call and points you made Savage. I definitely like the look of the RCM 10 oz'ers but with the higher premiums I stick to a few others. I love Johnson Matthey, the Scottsdale stackers, and recently the Asahi bars since they're cheap and remind me of RCM bars for some reason. With my OCD I plan on getting 10 of each of the 10 oz bars I have. Definitely looking forward to your 5k celebration buddy. Congrats on your channels growth.
There’s a ton of other bars I like better definitely love the Scottsdale stackers and the JM and Asahi bars more of a hypothetical if I had to choose and because of government backing , liquidity, recognizability. I’d go RCM . But it’s definitely not all I’m going to stack I like them all and if I see vintage for the same price at the LCS I’m going for vintage every time

My stacking journey has been all over the map. Right now I'm buying 10 0z generic bars. Jersey Mint has a cool bar but no serial #s. Buying so close to spot may bite me in the long run.
Went with sunshine for a bit and then got a few RCM’s. Both should be easy nuff to unload later down the road. When that day comes… the person I’m dealing with might make it hard if I don’t make it easy.

Honestly the Canadian Mint Bar is the best to stack. Yet I do like the Helena East Indian Bar, Sunshine Minting, Britannia and the Highland Morgan Design Bar. The Aztec is somewhat cool but would limit it to 1 or 2 in my stack no more.
Just started stacking this week, bought 1 10oz silver and 2 x one kilo Silver bars, guess i will be buying more 10oz bars and invest in a proper deposit safe box , cheers
That's what I like best about the lcs. You can find some great deals in the generic bin. If I don't see something I really like, I get what I can for the best price.
Where is the lookup site for these bars? I can't find anywhere to look them up. I think they boast the serial number as a distinct number, but it's a useless feature if you can't look them up. That being said, perhaps the sunshine mint with their security feature might be the best option? After all, Sunshine supplies the US mint with planchets. The Britannia bars are very nice, but their mint has a history of milk spotting. The RCM bars haven't spotted, but they sure do like to tone. If the plastic sleeve is damaged due to the sharp edges just by stacking, toning will start in no time.
HOW-DE-DO-DE OLD FRIEND. It has been far too long fella. I can never decide so I just pick up the least expensive pieces I can and turn them into casting shot. How are your pours coming along ? Of course our 10 ozt Maple bars are my favorites. They are an especially great to make shot with. Sadly I only have a dozen or so after making shot with so many I have lost count of. The GAW's sound great. If I don't win anything how about a trade. It has been a while. Your lucky Walker still sits here beside me.
@@savagestacker Staying busy with the pours and fixing things that others have screwed up. It seems overly busy on the fixings, LOL. I finally have oxygen along with propane at my bench. Up until now I had never seen silver boil. Even running a 2 inch feather I have to constantly be on the ball so as not to send the silver out the exhaust fan eh. Always learning more.

if i can catch rcm bars on sale, i buy them. but if you’re really into pressed and don’t care about serial numbers, there is nothing wrong with jbr, asahi, silvertowne buffalos, etc. but i still don’t know how any coin/bullion dealer has not heard of nadir. they are lbma approved four nines fine with serial numbers. i myself quit stacking silvertowne prospectors when they quit putting serial numbers on them. that used to be my go to silver bar too. i’m glad rcm bars are still serialized.

With premiums coming down it may be worth it for me to pay a tiny bit more for RCM bars.
That's what I like best about the lcs. You can find some great deals in the generic bin.
If I don't see something I really like, I get what I can for the best price.

Where is the lookup site for these bars? I can't find anywhere to look them up. I think they boast the serial number as a distinct number, but it's a useless feature if you can't look them up.
That being said, perhaps the sunshine mint with their security feature might be the best option? After all, Sunshine supplies the US mint with planchets. The Britannia bars are very nice, but their mint has a history of milk spotting.
The RCM bars haven't spotted, but they sure do like to tone. If the plastic sleeve is damaged due to the sharp edges just by stacking, toning will start in no time.

HOW-DE-DO-DE OLD FRIEND. It has been far too long fella. I can never decide so I just pick up the least expensive pieces I can and turn them into casting shot. How are your pours coming along ? Of course our 10 ozt Maple bars are my favorites. They are an especially great to make shot with. Sadly I only have a dozen or so after making shot with so many I have lost count of. The GAW's sound great. If I don't win anything how about a trade. It has been a while. Your lucky Walker still sits here beside me.

@@savagestacker Staying busy with the pours and fixing things that others have screwed up. It seems overly busy on the fixings, LOL. I finally have oxygen along with propane at my bench. Up until now I had never seen silver boil. Even running a 2 inch feather I have to constantly be on the ball so as not to send the silver out the exhaust fan eh. Always learning more.

The generic bars from reputable refiners. Forget the fancy designs. You're paying a premium to begin with. Don't add on more cost.

if i can catch rcm bars on sale, i buy them. but if you’re really into pressed and don’t care about serial numbers, there is nothing wrong with jbr, asahi, silvertowne buffalos, etc. but i still don’t know how any coin/bullion dealer has not heard of nadir. they are lbma approved four nines fine with serial numbers. i myself quit stacking silvertowne prospectors when they quit putting serial numbers on them. that used to be my go to silver bar too. i’m glad rcm bars are still serialized.
Biggest thing i have is a oz but ive only made two transactions this month and so far stacked 21 OZs. Thats my goal to stack each month
