When people in youtube say all singers are auto-tuned garbage, all I can tell them is...well, you tend to have those opinions when your taste of music is so poor that you only have about 5 singers on your PC, 3 of them being Nicky Minaj, Rihanna and Katy Perry.
She's not a pop barbie. She is definitely NOT corporate made garbage. She is called the First Lady of the West End and for a reason. She has had the most amazing rolls, all because of the work SHE has done and how SHE trained her own ass off to be this amazing. Not to mention the amazing talent she was just born with. She went her own way and today she is famous for that. Know the person you are criticising, pleas.
this version translates much better to video, like pretty much any song with transcendent guitars and excellent band arrangement. kerry has an insanely good voice and incredible stage presence, and brian may was in queen and that's all that needs to be said about his ability to deliver showmanship. in contrast, i've never really seen a mind-blowing video of DG on stage. but seeing it live, in context, fills you with more emotion and elation than any video ever can.
