The animations of the large chak in the first 30 seconds of this video are probably my absolute favourite in the game. In-game I found myself observing these creatures and all the intricate little details in their movement for far longer than any player was probably meant to :D
Absolutely gorgeous work, thank you for bringing so much of this game's world to life!
Absolutely beautiful
This is awesome! The animations are so good!
Those rigs looks so hard to animate. Great job.
The rhythm is really good
This is ART.

Great Reel Scott! I wondering how you animated the Giant snake at 1:20 , did you use any sort of potion path technique? or was it all keyframed? -Thanks!
Thanks Brian. The giant snake was key-framed with spline IK style controls, no motion path.
@@ScottDickeyAnimation hi great work congratulation. for me spline ik worst behaving, pls help me if you have any Technics pls
Did you make the models as well? Or just animate them?
I did the animation and some of the rigging. The models, textures and FX were created by other artists at ArenaNet.
Was most of this (or all maybe?) done with the graph editor?
The graph editor is definitely an important tool in 3D animation! I usually pose and set key-frames in the viewport and then work more in the graph editor when polishing an animation.
Cool cool. So where would say most of your animation work is done then? The setting frames or the graph editor?
Jesus. I want to quit
