Ashamed to admit I never heard tell of this AMAZING, TALENTED, and PHENOMENAL band until the passing of Bruce Guthro this September. He only lived 25 minutes from where I live here in Point Edward, the outskirts of .Sydney Nova Scotia. Ashamed to say I have never seen Bruce in concert, and apparently IT WAS MY GREATEST LOSS !💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔. I have watched every concert, performance, and video I can find on you guys, and share it will all my friends because maybe there are still people out there that have never heard of you either, and I wouldn’t want any more time wasted NOT HEARING YOU !!!!!!I hear Bruce’s voice and I just cry 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢.
I was at this concert when I was 13 and it's one of the most precious memories I will have for the rest of my life. what an incredible group of musicians. I remember screaming my lungs out when Bruce invited Donnie on stage and crying a lot!
Our Magical Minstrels from a Mystical Land...Scotland was joined to Canada Once Upon A Time. God Bless You All. Runrig...WE LOVE YOU PLEASE RETURN TO US. 👍😅 🏴💙🦢💙🏴
The crazy thing is I'm sat here trying not to cry.. BUT Jeg forstå orden fra dk. She says for me runrig is the most fantastic music.. nice that I can translate. Bare Bra!
Just spent some time at the very top of Scotland. Saw the strange lights in the sky…. Saw two sunsets at the same time. Saw weather phenomena with sunshine and thunder coming in at the same time from the Orkney’s. Met the uniqueness of the people in the barrenness of their land. But the greatest surprise… unforgettable… was being accompanied by a music which even had the ‘smell’ of gaelic culture. Born from the islands, these guys ‘ARE’ Scotland but with a poetry seldom heard and a music which constantly amazes. This year they end their 40 year journey as a group. Thanks guys… you ARE a Scottish treasure!
I'm crying so many tears; both for the amazing times I was lucky enough to see them in the Usher Hall in Edinburgh and elsewhere. But also for the gigs I've missed( basically all the others!).
One of the things Rory didn't say they'd do a lot of Association dances as well the Run Rig Dance band, its named after the old farming method communal farming particularly before the Highland Clearances (what Dance Called America's all about essentially), when they were pushed to the outsides of the lands to the cofts but when they'd become over crowded yeah involved the evictions of the Gaels which is essentially another name for them from the 1750s until the 1860s. Particularly due to the potato famine that ravished potato crops the worst to suffer that was Ireland
Feel like crying just listening to this. What sort of state will I be in at Stirling? Better pack an industrial size box of tissues! Viva Runrig so grateful for all the happiness your music has given me.
Thank you so much, Erling! I wish you and your family and friends a very Merry Christmas! And may the New Year hold all the good you might want. Hugs from snowy BC. ~ Linne
For me too...I love Bruce's voice too but it was with Donnie we went to see them & partied more 👍😅 in the early years so I do resonate more with Donnie's Voice bcs of that, but Bruce is a Brilliant Singer in his own right. Saw them a few times with Donnie but think I saw them once with Bruce *but bcs I had an accident) I'm.much better now and back yo being able to listen again...I'm so happy...but they've retired from live gigs 🤷♀️😅 so that's why...for me anyway. 👍😅 God Bless All 🏴💙🦢💙🇨🇦

Gaelic and RunRig are from the Hebrides (Western Isles) not the Orkney`s !!!
Skye - the inner Hebrides. But even the Orcadian islands don't warrant an apostrophe. It's still just the Orkneys.
Goodbye my friends, you have decided to move on, I will love your music now and always. Thanks for being there x
A tip: watch movies on Kaldrostream. Been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.

Fantastic, thank you Erling
In Japan there is little information because Runrig is an unnamed band.
Everyone why Runrig broke down last year?
They simply decided it was time to retire. None of them are getting any younger :(
The saddest Day for me & my Celtic Family. Blessings for You in Japan. 🏴💙🦢💙🏴
Any one out there remember a song Bruce sang about circling the sun holes in his socks???
