    Hello Sir, I really appreciate the effort you put to teach electronics from basic to advance, I don't know about others but you ve been doing me a great favor. I don't know how to over thank you for that... You are really good, I have love for repairs but don't really know much. You've been an eye opener and a teacher... I would really appreciate if I can get to participate on live classes so that I can ask questions, there's so much I want to ask. Thanks very much

    • @gorjy9610
      @gorjy9610 3 роки тому

      there is no need to do that in this case. I would probably do that just because my hotair station is less powerful and repair would be much easier to me (and chip) with leadfree solder. But as you can see he can do reflow in few seconds even with leadfree.
      Other "bad" side of leadfree solder would not be seen in chip like this one, unlike BGA chips solder pads are big and there is no way they will crack and this chip have big contact with PCB with middle pad and can't really move with outside force (like when console fall down) cracking them.

    Hi love your channel and repaired quite a few laptops thanks to your knowledge and shortcuts when you know how things work.
    PROBLEM- i have a HP Presario C700 Laptop and the PW port only blinks blue once then OFF when you plug the 19V in. No other lights or fan twitch or anything. just a blue flash and i know from another laptop, this type of port has the blue power light on ALL the time on or off.
    Already pulled it all apart and applied power direct to the M/B P+N 19V and NO current drawn and cpu ect cold. Cant find any shorts to ground but the power mosfets and voltage resistor have 19V and screen connector too so Super io on sort of? Is the flash, the S/I chip checking the m/b and reporting back error and not starting but power mosfets are on so dont know what to do from here. Power port is only 8000 ohms! that cant be right when it usually a hundred or more thousands ohms?. Bios chip next to super I/o has no volts on it.
    Thanks for any help..

      @@WayneSallee-comTech I shed information about to use a low melted solder, to avoid a furder damage on the motherboard, using high temperature for a longer time. You can shrink this time, using low melted solder. For desoldering different type with many "legs" or points, sockets, connectors, plugs, whatever. I don't know what is the chemical content of this type solder. It melt to low temperature, when you mix it with a normal solder, it decrease the melting temperature and you avoid the overheating of the board. Pay attention how long time in the above video, how long time the 500 C, hot air is applied to the motherboard.
