She was sick when she did this she was going to have a heart surgery after this. She wasn’t even supposed to sing so she was basically singing about her actual heart. People were even scared that she might faint but SHE KILLED IT🔥🔥🤩
Yes, you must do her „I have nothing“-appearance on this show. And yes, Jessie J is SO MUCH underrated. I applaud her! And yes, the arrangements on this show are pretty cool! That‘s what we are lacking nowadays! Interesting chord progressions!
Jessie J is so underrated here in the US and I don't understand it at all. One of the best voices of today period. I hope it doesn't take as long as it did Pink to be recognized for her pure talent.
It is wild to me that there are artists like Jessie J or Nicole Scherzinger, that are pretty underrated or not well known simply because their most well-known songs don't show off what kind of caliber of singer they are when it comes to skill and talent. Like, these women can S I N G, but pop music doesn't always show it off.

Not trying to be offensive in any way, but that’s the truth, artistically and creatively speaking. She has everything to be part of the Holy Trinity of our generation, and I mean EVERYTHING.
Brad you are so right, nothing to take away from amazing singers like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Adele. But Jessie J deserves as much appreciation as demonstrated through this Singer competition. The control and power in her vocals with that voice is just astonishing.

check out her killing me softly performance on the same show. killer! Then check out her Chaka khan performance. Like you said, she is def underrated. I think this is partly due to the style of pop songs she customarily sings. Unfortunately, that style of song doesn't show off her incredible voice.
She have a heart condition that stopped her from competing and one of the episodes, so that is why she sings the way she does. When it comes to this song. Her condition is hereditary.
She's a greater singer than all of the singers you mention. Jessie should be an absolute megastar. She's in a different league than Gaga, Beyonce and Adele.
she flew back to China to perform this song against doctors orders. she had to go back to the UK before that bc of her heart problem

You're right - She certainly changed that lyric from "I believe that the heart does go on" to "I'll believe that my heart will go on" because she was sick with her heart condition at the time, then she made this song about HER HEART, get it? 😭😭 It only makes this performance even more powerful whenever you re-watch knowing that. Every time she is saying the word "heart" she's thinking about herself! It's so touching, I just can't, and THE SHEER POWER!! Oh my emotions 😭😭 such an underrated artist.

She does not get the appreciation in the USA because she is not American,, end or. (insular). This song was particularly poignant because she has a serious heart condition and was advised not to take part in this Chinese singing competition. I have watched this reacted to many times without it being blocked.

It amazes me how long it's taken for people to get onto this, I watched the whole competition THE SINGER CHINA 2018,she was absolutely phenomenal in this competition, yes KZ was in the same competition, she got knocked out but Jessie invited her back to perform BANG BANG with South Korean singer Coco Lee, KZ done the rap part, the two things that MORISSETTE and KZ have in common, they both performed with Jessie J, she had to miss one round of the competition because she has a heart condition and had to return to England for tests 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

The reason it sounds a bit different is that in China and other asian countries, instruments are tuned differently, which makes their chord progressions sound "off" when arrangements are changed to suit western songs. Here I kind of enjoy it, but it can be a little jarring to some very recognizable pop songs with simple melodies.
