- We are celebrating May, the start of wedding season, with Mandy Majerik creating an old school cascade bridal bouquet with a couture twist. The bouquet is created using Mayesh Wholesale Florist Certified Awesome Blosoms - Phalaenopsis Orchids, David Austin Patience Garden Roses - accented with Lady Amherst & Pheasant feathers! This is NOT your average cascade bouquet!
This may not be the look for the average bride, but a STUNNING bouquet none the less.
She did call it couture. It is breath taking!
The snake bouquet! Feathers detract from those glorious orchids.
So sophisticated, so beautiful. Thank you for the ideas!
I love your work! Simple elegance.
Gorgeous, different and inspiring. Thank you.
Loved it! Wow! 👏👏💐
FABULOUS Mandy!!!!!!!!!
Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it
Great Bouquet. I'm making it for my daughters wedding in August. I want use the feathers, but they still look great in your bouquet. A real designer use and create different designs using great materials like feathers.
For all of you who said the feathers look like snakes don't know design.
I'm a floral designer. People say I do great work. I think I'm pretty good.
I'm booked most weekends.
It's gorgeous.
I'm really amused that everyone thought the feathers looked like snake skins. I thought the bouquet was GORGEOUS. I wasn't too sure about it until I saw the model holding it against her dress. Then you really saw the impact it made, and it was stunning.
VERY ORIGINAL! I LIKE!👍
I didn't like the bouquet until I saw it with the dress. The textures really compliment one and the other. I guess it's easy to forget that a wedding is a whole not a collection of bits...
amaaaaazinggggggg
Thanks Coyaws!! Let us know if you have suggestions for our future videos!
The Bouquet was very pretty until she added those feathers ..They just made it look ugly ,like snakes coming out of it ...Just saying.
Yes! Lol
LOL :)
OMG I thought the same exact thing! Not loving it.
Beautiful! Where did you buy the orchids?
Thanks Zory! We supply cut flowers, including orchids, to floral professionals.
Well, I can see by most of the posts here that very few of you a designers. If you are, I’d NEVER send an order to your shop for a customer. Very few of you have taste. Or even class for that matter. This bouquet is BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!
Amen! It is meant to inspire and give ideas. This would be great for an ethnic wedding, outdoors, Fall, Winter...so many ideas on how to make a slight change or keep it as is. I love it.
It looked so beautiful at the beginning until she added wrong choice of cream flowers. Also not feeling the feathers in my opinion it looks like a crab or spider climbing out of this bouquet.
Cassandra Amore I feel like you missed the "couture" part.
It’s called design dear.
unfortunately, I'm with the popular opinion about the feathers. of course, its a matter of taste.
Not to thrilled about those ugly feathers but to each his own :-)
Ikr?
Who would've thought that you could stick feathers in a bouquet.
Are those flowers real
Why are you snipping and not cutting the flowers in a slant for a good drink. i understand the feathers but white would be just beautiful, the color choice is very poor for an aifd floral designer. As an aifd deisgner i would never do that color theme.
Feathers in a bouquet such as this you have to be crazy . No no no.
What a stupid idea to stick those feathers in just kills it !
I love the white cream on white, but I agree the pheasant feathers are a little too stark- I would have used ostrich feathers to complement...
Those featheres take away the natural elegance of the orchids.
Too large and messy. I guess this is why this kind of bouquet went out of fashion. It's all made from organic material and it doesn't look organic at all
lo siento pero me parece demasiado recargado un ramo que se hace visualmente pesado y no debe ser nada cómodo de llevar.
those feathers look like rattle snakes skins
anybody else think snake skin? I mean, lady demonstrating had a southern accent...what about peacock feathers?
i see it like the snake
You must be an armature.
I have made a mistake, I didn't want to subscribe to this post. Please delete it and I will pay more attention next time. Thank you, Barbara Mathis
That's so ugly sorry
I not feeling those feathers to me it takes away from the beauty of the flowers.
Feathers not gud idea its like serpent crawling, not nice
whats this a designer not using a knife,I have been a floral designer for 37 yrs and I am not AIFD but just as good and i use a knife ,you new florist always use a knife to cut your flowers
C Hirschmann ..... I prefer using Japanese Ikebana scissors..... predates floristry.....oh about 1000 years or so......give or take.
scary :( !!!!
sorry this wedding bokay is not pretty at all
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Looks like snakes around it...
ew snakes
Stupid ideas adding the snake..
