an excellent explanation for smear result. however when Dr mentions "HPV won't cause you any symptoms/problems" this isn't quite accurate as certain strains eg 6 and 11 may cause genital warts
It's a bit uncomfortable but nothing crazy. It's simply a more in depth pap test and then they might biopsy depending what the cells look like. I find the biopsy hurts but a lot of other women are unbothered by it. (Im a bit of a wimp lol)
It's a good explanation BUT I had a "Borderline" result and apparently the smear had detected abnormalities in my endocervical glandular cells (so this is a bit more serious than borderline) I was sent for a colposcopy within a few days of my smear and waiting on biopsy results.

I had my second abnormal Pap smear so I was told that the doctor wants to do a procedure called a colposcopy. I am a bit apprehensive.
