A truly beautiful voice, and I think it's high time for her to be christine.
I'm her fan but no :( christine for me has always been someone fragile and innocent, Sam on the other hand, is strong and mature (just like eponine). So a bit later, possibly Fantine, but no Christine.
She sang this so beautifully. Best rendition ♥️
Nice but not the best. That title still belongs to Barbara Dickson who, at the request of Rice and Lloyd Webber, was the first person to sing this on the Evita concept album and had a big hit with it in the UK in 1977.

Saw Les Mis yesterday in London and Carrie hope Fletcher who played Eponine stole the show for me. She was brilliant easily the second best Eponine I have ever seen and heard and I have seen the show over 30 times now.

In terms of British musical theatre, I would love to see Sam on stage with Kerry Ellis and Ruthie Henshall. Unfortunately, the chances of it ever happening are remote at best. Before anyone says about Idina Menzel, Lea Salonga and Sierra Boggess, note that I said British. We also have others who are very good as well, but IMO those are the top three.
I like it when she sing so simply amazing like this.

We're watching Evita in Spanish class. I didn't realize the meaning of this song till I watched in the movie, it's a rather sad song.
If you read Les Miserables in full, you will find as well as Eponine being the Thenardier's child, the boy Gavroche is also a brat of the Thenardier's.

No, Alice was correct. Eponine is the Thenardier's daughter. Cosette is Fantaine's daughter, but she was staying with the Thenardiers until Jean Valjean adopted her.

Samantha Barks is another in my list of female professional singers I've heard sing any song from Evita better than Madonna, which is every single one. IMO she was even upstaged in the movie by the few lines Andrea Corr had in "Hello and Goodbye/Another suitcase in another hall (Reprise)".
She has an amazing voice. The only negative point I can find on the net about her is that a lot of people think she is way too skinny.
Actually I think Eponine won in the end yes she dead but I've always thought Eponine deserved better then Marius. I've always thought Marius was a bit on the pathetic side TBH.
