Lol matt you take pride in your trucks your kinda o.c.d. like me certain things just bug me too I get it though that harbor blue truck is sweet can't wait to see it together thanks for the video
Well Matt it is like this just a dose of reality. We have a truck in the family affectionately nic named after its late former owner Sam Bone we all called Sam Bonner. Sam was suddenly stricken with some rare blood poisoning the summer of 1986 he had this 69 F250 all in pieces & most of the parts were all over his shop his office and basement. At the time I took possession of the old girl I was still active duty military so my dad sent the truck to his buddy at Heinz Autobody in Allentown Pa to have it ah assembled which turned out to be a real catastrophe of mega proportions. Neither my dad nor even me was familiar with base coat clear coat paint and to make a long story short neither was the owner of the body shop so the back portions of the truck had been painted to show quality however Heinz did a pretty sloppy job on the front clip and instead adapting to the base coat clear coat he sprayed the front clip with a single stage paint and as one would know there was a tone diff in the front of the truck to the rear and as the years wore on the base coat clear still looks really good. We can't say so much for the front clip faded bad looks bad. My son is just talking to me about bringing the truck up to me and having me totally repaint her. He says it will also give him the needed time to clean out his garage.
So you are selling this truck once you make it a runner? Looks like a great project. What area are you at? I have a 1972 green highboy... 1969 higboy and a 1972 1/2 ton ranger. Love these trucks. Like to come across a crewcab. Thanks for sharing.
18:30 can you please make a video on the conversation to a roller bearing steering column. I think with your attention to detail would help viewers if they were thinking of doing it themselves.😅
No matter the make. Ford, GM, Dodge, International etc... *You gotta love those old crew cab trucks!* 😁👍
Very true! GM was kinda late to the party though.
Can't wait to see the old harbor blue highboy with a grill

PS Don't be so hard on yourself! Smiles
It's a bummer that the Blue Highboy needs a repaint but it'll be worth it, and the grill and bumper are gonna look killer!!
Thanks for the update, Matt

It's going to be a great looking truck for someone. Can't wait for you to take us down the road for a test drive.
Drooling for the harbor blue to get finished, but also ready for the crew cab build
