I went here in 2019 and it was my first real arcade experience ever, living in the US and being born after the arcade era started to decline. I'm so excited to go back, it's going to be amazing!
This is so awesome! To see actual people playing King of Fighters! And all these cabinets. I remember seeing Ninja Warriors triple-screen cabinet in Turkish arcade. this was something I never saw before. And this arcade is not filled with stupid dance/rythm games. So cool!
And i can say you are enough lucky in the u.s. To still have a few of them opened and working. Here in italy are completely dead, replaced from those shitty betting shops ironacally called "Sale giochi" (Arcades in italian translation).. 😭
This place looks absolutely brilliant!!!the social aspect of it just takes me back to the good old days of arcade gaming..online play nowadays is cool and all but it just doesn't capture the magic like this did ... what an outlet!!! We have nothing like this here in Ireland tbh . . It would be so cool to hang out there and chat and take challenges on from other players! Japan always fascinated me culturally and there love for gaming! ........ AWESOME PLACE you are so lucky to have experienced this . Thanks for the upload man 🐲👍🐉
I love how they have a floor for each era, and then the fighting game floor. Also close to the train station; I have a 1st high score on the Final Fight machine here, SZZ.
Awesome to see people playing the games I still play. And, the Astro City cab's. I had a chance to get one a long time ago but bought a clone of the Neo Candy 29.
I miss these games. We have that before in the Philippines wayback 2000-2010 especially metal slug, power stone, marvel vs capcom and many more. Sadly retro arcade games is so rare to see now
En-Eins Perfeketewelt and Daemon Bride are underrated Japanese fighter games! Seriously, if En Eins had a tank for a fighter then Daemon Bride said it was a good idea to have an over-sized pair of scissors as a weapon
Wondering how you got this footage as I was under the impression filming/photos were not allowed in game centres. Nevertheless, thank you for the footage! Love the sound of attract mode and Sanwa buttons 😁😁
Bro if I go to Japan this location is where im gonna go because I love retro arcades not the cheap boring modern stuff the real arcades like I see in the video. I also subscribed to their youtube channel and they made some interesting videos regarding tournaments.
oh man haven't seen whack the crocodile arcade game since the early 2000s.. and that gundam Spirits of Zeon game was a enjoyable game apart from time crisis series
I'm hoping to go to Japan sometime in 2024. I really need to know the list of video arcade game centers in Japan that are still alive and going strong. Is Mikado still around and kicking? And what about GiGo arcades?
I wonder if some of these arcades have online features to upgrade the game, face worldwide challengers and save your progress in home/machine, I saw videos that this was a trend in the beginning of he decade but don't know if it continued (I noted the NESiCAxLive in some machines with multiples games, but the individual arcades didn't have it?) Anyway, thanks for showing the online games around the 17:00 of the video 👍
I went to this place half year ago ,super street fighter only 50 yens for a game, also many racing games which is hard to find in other place. also only 5 mins walk from rail station
always feels crazy to me that people will go to an arcade and pay to play a 30 year old game rather than play modern fighters online for pretty much free, the arcade appears to be filled with mostly middle aged men, I wonder how long this sort of business is sustainable because it doesn't appear to be bringing in the younger people, it feels like a time warp
It's really exciting to see people still sitting in front of an arcade cab . miss those days
This place just needs to have a live cam. I could watch this all day.
There is one, but afaik only during tournaments (which happen a few times a month iirc)
Mikado does broadcast videos of gameplay. Here is their channel: www.youtube.com/@MIKADO4649
It's amazing how much better CRT displays are for games.

This is so noble. Thanks for the tour!

Wow - this looks so cool. So many Arcade Machines with Sreet Fighter 2 or Real Bout and many more Arcade Classics 😎👍
This makes me want to go travel to Japan right now!
M es to bro
This is super fun. :^)
Thank you very much for sharing.
This is exactly what I been looking for and loved the raw futage and time of video. Closest I can get to feel like being there. Subed!
Thank you for the kind words.
You have excellent communication skills. Your clear and persuasive way of conveying ideas and opinions motivates others to take action.
The variety of fighting games 🤤🤤🤤
Thanks for these tours of the Japanese arcades. It's kind of sad watching them as arcades are on the endangered series list here in America.
And i can say you are enough lucky in the u.s. To still have a few of them opened and working. Here in italy are completely dead, replaced from those shitty betting shops ironacally called "Sale giochi" (Arcades in italian translation).. 😭
First place I visited in Japan.
Everybody knew how to play everything. There were no scrubs.
Nice you found Mikado in Takadanobaba, it is my favorite, which I often go to.

Woahhhh now that lit..
I recently read that the fighting game scene was nearly dead in Japan. So happy to see it alive here.

This is absolute GOLD
Wonderful

Cool
When Im going back to Japan... This will be the first Arcade I visit!
these games are great
this is on my bucket place on places to visit.

Enjoyed the trip but would have been nice to see the names of the games/cabinets!

I even heard the Mikado Game Center contributed to the remakes of Raiden III and Raiden IV by remixing the music in the game
Damn. And here I thought our Round1 was awesome bc it has VF5, SFIV and SamSho in the back.

Some of them are 50 yen, that's neat. I'm gonna spend plenty of coins there in a couple of weeks.
Arcades in Japan look way better they have seats and more privacy based with the size of the cabinets compared to American arcades
My god they got the zaku machine gun game!
La mayoria de estos juegos los tengo en mi xbox, tiempos buenos

The Nesica ines have inline play and progress save for sure. The old versus city ones with retro games do not.

also only 5 mins walk from rail station
It's a real gem!
I need those sneeze guards "keep social distance!".
When we was mids enjoying a lot ., but now iphone took all the fun away
Arcade games are pretty much gone in my country, they were all replaced by slot machines..
Well, atleast they still exist in Japan.
Nossa mãe cara que paraíso esse lugar nostalgia pura aí sim são máquinas de verdade
Nice video. I have a mame arcade machine in my home. So 14:10-14:28 Which fighting game is this? it looks so realistic! 🤔
26:36 The hell is that? They playing fatal fury with bongos?
Alumni anak ding-dong nihh ☝️
Does anyone know what this game 3:47 is called ?
terry top tier in kof95 arcade version
Do they have crisis zone there?
the guy moaning at the 11:15 mark was a bit odd
All these fighting games, and they look like they're all set up for 1 player only.
Because in Japan the machines are individual and installed back to back. The 2nd controller is in the opposite machine.
Random question but is there an age requirement like do you have to be over 18 or smth
Please the name of the game at 4:58 .
best arcade in toyko i sent loads of time in there.
Not a lot of Neogeo in there.....
skullgirl in arcade?
How much is charge? per hour?
New games are 100 yen per play, retro games are 50 yen.
No Garou ? 0_o
multi games on tekken machine
reverse drip currency
My 15 year old self just creamed his pants. The 50 year old self, too loud.
Nothing is to loud after some beers
The twelve goofballs who voted this video down are obviously just jealous that they haven't been there.
Can someone reply please
:O
