I really like your channel and videos Dave. Unfortunately I have had reconstructive surgery on my left thumb and wrist. Six months after this heals, I will have the same surgery on the right. Killing me I want to pickup and play along. Mean while back on the Ranch I'm watching, listening and learning so much from your videos ... much respect!
One of many great songs from America - such sweet sounding chord voicing. Much appreciate you sharing them with us. Reminds me of warm summer days ... Thanks!
Never tried to cover a America song before. This is one of their good one. Nice lesson Dave. And by the way, nice "Stank faces" with Laurie and his son lol 👍
Middle finger on the low E String 3rd fret. Also this finger is muting the A string. First finger on 2nd fret high E string and ring finger on 3rd fret 2nd string.
Love the vids, but just one suggestion. Please put the fingerboard positions for the chords instead of just the names. I know some of them by name, but the grid would really help for folks like me.
Isnt the Am9 fingering the same as a GMaj7 only starting at the second fret? Then you can just slide back and forth. I have trouble with that fingering myself
Epic beautiful Sir! Thank you!
Dave …. Brilliant 👍🏻 and thanks
Ah, the song that pulled me into America. This was a stop-everything-and-sing-along song when it came on the radio until I got the record.
I've watched quite a few lesson videos for this song.... This is the best sounding one by far.
Thanks Dave! Great song.

Great theory Dave. I play it with some different shapes but I learned some new ones from you. Cheers James.
Another great one Dave thank you so much for taking time to show how to play this great classic song.
This is one of the "go to" songs in my repertoire, and you still showed a few different ideas for me. Great job as always.
Helpful video.., Thank you.
You are really good.
Very nice thanks
Thank you Sir!

I’m glad you didn’t say you love them for the lyrics. I’m still wondering what the reason is for the Tropic of Sir Galahad.
I never understood that either, but I just got out of service and I thought it was cool. still love it.

Love this song, I think I had one chord right.
Please do a song by The October Project. Phenomenal band!
That one got a huge amount of play on AM
Good tutorial!
What is the strumming pattern
Hi
Great lesson, thanks.
To sustain interest, may I please suggest a playthrough first, and then the technical aspects?
You may but then i get a copyright claim against me so i don't.
