I love how much you're enjoying this. You're in for quite a ride. Just like Breaking Bad it just gets better and better. Anyways, I watched this at work and might have missed part of the post-reaction discussion, but in case you're still wondering about what Mike did to find their stash of money under the sink, this is how: He took some of Jimmy's "Kettleman cash", sprayed it with a fluorescent dye and put it on the remote control car for the Kettlemans to find it and assume that one of their kids had found their stash and fooled around with it. They would then put it back with the rest of the cash and Mike would be able to find where they kept it by following their fluorescent fingerprints with his blacklight. Worked like a charm. :D

And lets be honest, Craig is a simp.
This episode basically shows that doing the right thing is not easy for Jimmy. Especially when it comes at his expense. The ending also shows that he puts up a facade to get by in everyday life, at this point anyway. Hence the upcoming transformation.

Better Call Saul is the only case I know in which a show or movie benefits from being a prequel. Instead of trying to explain the backstory of characters from Braking Bad, this show uses the knowledge of where the characters will end up to make it a tragedy.

I'm a BB/BCS super-fan, and I really enjoy watching your reaction vids, as they give sort of a condensed take on each episode and also help put me back in the shoes of someone seeing all of it for the first time. This is such a great show. Like an idiot I watched the first four seasons of this before I watched breaking bad which meant I had no idea what the b&w season openings meant or the context and character histories of Tuco and Mike etc. When the final season is out I am going to watch BCS and BB in chronology.
Ah, it's fine you're not an idiot. What you're missing is how the writers mess with your expectations. But do you love BCS anyway? Because I like it better than Breaking Bad anyway 🤷♂️

@@thestairguy I like BCS more than Breaking Bad and let me explain. Breaking Bad is a Masterpiece. But BCS is a Masterpiece+1 in my mind. What they did is take what they learned and produced in Breaking Bad and BUILT on it masterfully. The things I like better? Lalo and Kim, Mike, Jimmy... all characters that IMO are built more than their counterparts or what we saw of their characters in Breaking Bad. Kim has SUCH a story arc and is more likable than ANYONE in Breaking Bad at IMO. Lalo is terrifying and is the BEST Salamanca from both shows. The Cinematography is just as good or better in BCS as in Breaking Bad. Although they are both10/10. Also BCS studies relationships much more than Breaking Bad does. Kim and Jimmy, Kim and Howard, Lalo and Hector, Mike and his granddaughter and daughter in law. And over it all Jimmy and Chuck. Lastly they did a Masterful job in linking the two shows in a overarching story so it makes Breaking Bad even Better and Breaking Bad makes BCS hit more. It just love BCS so much for these reasons.

They were yelling at the kids because they thought they had gotten the money out and played with it, which was Mike's plan all along by putting it on the toy truck. Otherwise you can't dismiss some of your hidden money showing up at your door all by itself.

Interesting that female reactors dislike Besty far, far more intensely than male reactors. There's some psychology there I don't entirely get... Impressive work by the actress to be that nasty a character.
Women like Betsy makes all women look bad, I guess.
People often react angrily when I say this, but I enjoy better call Saul more than breaking bad. Maybe this it's because I never gave one crap about Schuyler Walt Jr or Walter's home life what so ever. And those awkward meals just dragged the plot. So BCS just is more consistent with its high performance.

I think abusive women like men like that for the same reason any abusive person chooses their partner: easily maintained control. and he's happy to go with her because she's the only woman who WOULD take him. tragic, tbh.

Betsy Kettleman is the worst. You meet a woman like that you run for the hills. She's just awful. You have to be a real spineless man to put up with that.
Believe it or not this first season is actually the slowest season of the show. It picks up a lot as the seasons go and everything gets way better.
I thought people like this in-denial-psycho-criminal woman in the show didn’t exist until I met Trump supporters. I mean, I knew they existed, but in the show it seems exaggerated, but peeps really be thinking this way unfortunately
