Completely agree with everything said here. It’s about time someone actually looked at the psychology behind why people are behaving in such a toxic way about this rather than just either defending or complaining about the product itself. If more people thought like you do there would be a lot less toxicity and this community would be a better place!

I totally agree with you. I find it quite funny that people need others to tell them what they like and don't like. I buy what I want and the word influencer is embarasing because no one tells me what I like or don't like.
My opinion Is: I get Disturbed sometimes by some lego sets, because of what lego does: Example: Phase 2 General Rex 10 yeas ago Had a Waist cape, on a 20dlls set. Nowdays He doesnt incluide waist cape on a 400+ dlls set. Or In the recent 322th Battle pack lego Saying Captain vaughn having a " unique " healment, but its literally the same as the other clones.
Such a necessary video to make. I’m just a guy who loves Star Wars and LEGO, and it’s so annoying when we are getting all these things that I’ve been wanting for years (new clones, new gunship, great army building battle packs, fantastic display 18+ sets) only for people to scream at each other about how they aren’t as good as they could’ve been and bringing up the same things (helmet holes…) over and over again. I just wish everyone was a little more positive.
But what’s the point of getting things if they’re worse then what came before, I mean come on they can’t get simple things right like on fox and Vaughn they they would’ve gotten right in the mid 2010s
Another thing about the phase II helmet holes controversy is that the phase I helmets also have helmet holes and the mandalorian helmets also have holes and I haven’t heard anyone complain about them.

I genuinely think most LEGO fans have forgotten what boycotting or protesting is and instead verbally attack LEGO in the wrong places. Now I'm not saying there should be a boycott LEGO star wars or anything like that. I just think, and as you said, its much easier to just not buy a set: especially with so many other alternatives out there. And to those who are purists and don't like customs, well sometimes in achieving what you want, you HAVE TO step out of your comfort zone (whether thats buying the set or going with the custom side). I myself have complained about the sets or minifigures (I used to dislike the 2020 style but now it's grown on me, helmet holes I don't mind), but as a customizer myself, I realized I can make/buy these sets or figs for a "cheaper" alternative route. Yeah it's not from LEGO but thats the inevitable compromise to all of this. Anyways I'm rambling on here. Absolutely bang on bai, you’re one of the only people in the Lego Star Wars community I’ve seen with a level head👏 I’ve personally just given up watching videos or viewing posts about sets for the overwhelming negativity, only use one or two imo trusted channels for sets to see if they’re actually worth it before buying
People are ridiculously outrages at anything. However, I believe a lot of the complaints have merit. ESPECIALLY when it comes to the pricing of the sets. Vote with your money, wait for things to go on sale. If people buy things out at insane prices, they'll keep being released at said prices. Every time I go to Walmart, I see that they are out of stock of the 332nd battlepacks, despite being almost 30 dollars there. I fear for the prices yet to come
I'm far more concerned about LEGO prices than Clone helmet holes and design inaccuracies. I'm sure we'd all like to see the best quality product for the amount we're paying for a.. kids toy.

I found this vid kinda funny as it isn't just lego fans like this, it's everyone about everything these days. Society as a whole finds this behavior acceptable because if it didn't this simply wouldn't be happening. Lego collectors, and lego consumers in general are just regular people who have fell into the social media soapbox mentality, the lego community is not immune. As for toxity, it's an overused word that is pulled out way to often and has lost it's impact, just became another catchphrase.

In the mid 2000s leg printing and arm printing wouldn't exist on clones, so I don't see how the new hyper detail clones are downgraded.
