    • @ppen8359
      @ppen8359 Рік тому +3

      That has very low probability of happening. America also has intelligence and it watches nuke movements. If the risk of getting nuked is high then America attacks first and BMDs only collect left over launches. Besides, America's adversary has to worry about entire NATO and that occupies huge land, which is nearly twice the size of Russia because American nukes are spread all over NATO countries. A nuke war guarantees that America's adversary will be destroyed. Also, this is a mid course defense. American destroyers will shoot down booster phase ICBMs and even F-35s can destroy or track ICBMs in early phases.

There are other defenses including SM3 on destroyers that will shoot iCBMs down in booster stages. Even Russian hypersonic missiles shot at Ukraine only had minutes. The thing is that some missiles may go through, but NATO will survive and Russia will be destroyed as it is the only country that can launch multiple ICBMs. The NATO land area is nearly twice the size of Russia as well. Also, NATO has nuclear triad and second strike capability. Russia has very limited capabilities to match these.

    Each Intercontinental Ballistic Missile can carry up to ten nuclear warheads. Each of these are released and guide themselves to the target with zero rocket propulsion. Thus they are cold, and almost impossible to see by the thermal guidance systems of the interceptor missile. These warheads are moving at 11-15 thousand miles per hour, almost impossible to intercept. The story here doesn’t make clear if these are ascending or descending warheads they hit. The last I knew, not one single test had been successful at hitting a descending warhead. If they have indeed managed to build and test a successful missile strike on a descending warhead, then they will need 10 minimum for each intercontinental ballistic missile, and probably far more to cover for those intercepter missiles that miss their targets. One warhead that gets through kills millions of people. All this I am afraid is to try and make everyone stop raising Cain about NATO and the Biden administration seemingly doing everything they can to get Russia to send a few of those ICBMs our way. Its pure undiluted insanity.

    I have a love/hate relationship with what we are doing re ballistic missile interception. The only reason we developed "hit a bullet with a bullet" tech in the first place is because wimpy (to the point of being treasonous) politicians back then were afraid of Russian/Chinese reactions to our (the US) gaining EFFECTIVE missile defense systems. Putting explosive warheads on these interception missiles would take them from 85-90% successful to at least 95% successful. Putting a low yield EMP nuke warhead on them would make them 100% effective. But we STILL won't do it. WHY???? WTF are we afraid of????

    • @hearts_drown6465
      @hearts_drown6465 Рік тому

      Shhh we already got that, If u really think about it anything we have with a warhead capability can already be used to do the intercept stage while other are responding. But nukes are old, Or it is where the war is now
