Yes, I had a thread lift 6 months ago here in Holland. I am 55 year old and was experiencing sagging jawline. Not only it took a long time to heal. About 3 months after it. I could go back to my exercises but I also that I did not get the results that I expected. My face became more wide. I did not like the results because I have a round kind of face. As for the sagging packages on the face did not go away. No, I do not recommend a thread lift. It's very a invasive procedure and it takes a long time to heal
I wanted to give myself a gift of doing something for myself for my birthday as I was turning 50 and said why not go to the same person I went to two years ago, but somehow she didn’t even remember me because it was two years ago so I expected her to do a wonderful job as the first time, but she made my face look rounder. It was not the face that I was born with did not look symmetrically to my face features as my face features look like another person, and my confidence went South as I was just sitting with myself thinking that it was just swollen, but when I went the second time for my consultation, she corrected it, she was not being supportive or nice about it so that was another experience. I was having anxiety and I just feel like I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror thinking when we go to these type of procedures, we go with confidence, thinking we’re going to come out feeling good about pampering ourselves but that was not the story with me, soon as the swelling went down after the second procedure, I’ve gotten form this lady to correct the shape of my face. I started noticing sagging. I wish I never got this procedure done I also noticed one side of my face is more lifted including my chin area so my face looks sideways I can’t even look at myself in the mirror because that’s just gong cause me anxiety. My self-esteem is leading me to depression
I had a thread lift exactly one week ago was extremely uncomfortable procedure and I was barely able to eat anything for 3 days let alone go out for dinner. A lot of swelling which is thankfully going down now but still lots of bruising and difficult to smile. Worst of all I’m not seeing much improvement in the sagging around my jowls which was my main area of concern. Do not think this is an easy procedure or that or will give you great results. I will save my money for a facelift in the future it couldn’t be much more painful and will surely give proper results
I love threads and do them myself. Im 63 I have always used tretinoin so wrinkles were not a problem it was the skin sagging. I order my threads from Korea. Eventually I will have a face lyft. But I can tweek a lift here or there. I love it.
Had threads in March 2022. In June 2022 woke up with 9 lumps. Went to hospital they said I had a bacteria from the threads. Gave me steroid shots and 5 steroid pills to take for 5 days. Swelling went away for 2 weeks the they came back Viciously 11 bumps some l size as large as quarter and 2 on left lower check due of nickels. Several lumps on cheeks and 2 by right eye and 3 by left eye size of dime’s. Went to Dr he prescribe 42 steroids 6 on first day 5 next day 4,3,2,1 until all taken. Also 36 antibiotics. I also have large dinking spots as the lumps go down and very wrinkles skin. This is December and I got 5 more lumps. Went to a Plastic Surgeon and he saidI still have bacteria to come back in March 2023 that they can not fix my face until the bacterial is gone. My face looks 10 yrs older.
I had four PDO threads placed on each side of my mid face. almost 4 weeks later one of my threads snapped. Very painful. I went into the medispa and they used radio frequency on the left side of my face. That evening the thread fell to the bottom of my chin. Very painful and I have had one more treatment of radio frequency and putting a warm compress. During the procedure the nurse was having difficulty getting the thread under my skin and pulled alot at it. My left side of my face was swollen and still is unlike the right side of my face, which healed fast. I would like the migrated thread removed as it is painful to eat and is quite visable. The spa said I could not have the thread removed. Is this true. It has made my face not even and the thread lookds like a large vein going down from my mouth to under my chin.
Doctors can't answer a question like that on UA-cam, especially specific to one person. Get a second opinion from a professional. I hope you heal fast.
@@annemarie1535 Medispa are a NoNo. Do your homework. I do my own threads. Instant results. Educate on the type of threads you need. Mono,Plla,Pdo. I love them combined with Tretinoin .1%. And micro needling. I've saved thousands.
I’ve been doing threads on myself for 1 yr. They are the best. I lay maybe 10 in one session and about 6 weeks the results begin to show that my skin is creating collagen and elastin in that area. Threads are so popular that they are done all over the world. Good bye saggy skin and wrinkles!
I’m glad to see this because I just started doing them on my self and I’m wondering when I’ll start to see results. I just went back and marked when I did them on my calendar and it’s only been about a month since I first started and I started with only 10 to 20 threats. I have about 160 in my face now.
Thread lifts are all the rage at the moment, either done in doctors offices, or brave people trying to do them at home. But very often they are only temporary fixes the PDO threads only lasting six months or even less.
What a waste of 4 thousand dollars! Face threads don't work. They hurt, and don't last a year! Wish I had the money back to hire a reputable plastic surgeon and get real face lift!
What thousand dollars? I am going to have them done in two days and the good ones, aptos visage, for 600€. I am in Greece. I used to live in L.A and I can tell the difference in prices in the medical field is ridiculous. Why aren’t you happy with them? Which ones you had done?

Thank you for sharing, I am thinking of doing it too, but reading all the experiences here, had a change of mind..

How can one fix the sagging of the skin after the procedure? And the uneven appearance after four months had passed from the procedure??

Same. So far so good
Where are you based and where do you buy them from? Have you got any tips or tricks on how to administer them on yourself?
You obviously do PDO threads which dissolve, that is not what the doctor is talking about.
H
I was able to feel my threads for 4 months

People are doing this as it’s cheaper than the 20k+mid face lift.
Most medical professionals advise against and do not perform this procedure. If you're seeing someone that will, leave.
I had a bad experience
What happened?
Me too, puckering, pain and nausea

Which ones you had done?
You should never have threads done. It is much worse then any of us are telling you. Threads should never be done to anyone.
Thank you for sharing your story
What bullshit. I was 7 days in bed and I’m still completely swollen and bruised and my face looks disfigured
Very expensive , Not pain, s just temporary lifting.
How much is a facelift? Go think!
I buy my threads from s.Korea. 20 threads for $30. Greedy docs!
@@carolpowell2199 which site do you use?
wow!!!! @@carolpowell2199
The worst pain ever. WTF are people talking about. 8 days in and still look like a frog.
It is big lie
Dont last more than 3to 4 months
The plla threads last up to 18 months. Do you think these docs are going to tell u the truth, their markup is huge!
