  • One of the largest challenges of TMS is to educate patients and thus increase the awareness of TMS in general. Here you can find a video which shows how a TMS therapy progresses from the patient's point of view.
The Video explains Apollo TMS Therapy (transcranial magnetic stimulation for MDD) in four Steps. Step 1: Consulting your psychiatrist, Step 2: Signing the consent sheet, Step 3: First Session, Step 4: Following Sessions
TMS is a non-invasive approach where a coil is positioned on the head where magnetic pulses are emitted which can influence brain activity.
Apollo TMS is available by prescription only.
A doctor can help decide if Apollo TMS Therapy is right for you.
Apollo TMS is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adult patients who failed to receive satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant medication in the current episode.
We would like to thank Dr. Adarsh Gupta and his fantastic Team from Great Neck Center for Sleep, TMS and Mind Body Wellness.

I am currently on my 3rd session, and I have a very pronounced vein on the upper left side of my forehead. Actually its on the exact mark that was deemed ideal for my depression treatment. Problem is, if the machine is placed on the veins location I experience a massive amount of pain (10/10). A few mm to the side and the pain goes to a 8/10. They tested on my right temple (no veins), and it felt fine.
The doctors dont know what to do in regards to that sensitive spot I have. The thing that bothers me is that I know people have veins in their forehead and I cant be the first to run into this problem. Anyone else experience this and a possible work around?

@@nature_education just a post one year update. They were able to move the panel about half an inch and the pain subsided after a few treatments.
The TMS treatment did little to help in the long term. ...
However in November 2023 I tried 6 sessions of Ketamine infusion treatments (2 a week) and those 3 weeks of treatments did more for me than 10 years of medication, therapy, and TMS.
Ketamine was so effective that I actually became a whole new person without the decade of suffering severe depression/anxiety.

Maybe it’ll help some but I did it for OCD for 3 months and it did zero. Also maybe it depends on OCD type? Mine’s pretty tough.
