Mr. Coogler should be releievd because he accomplished his purpose for this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am definitely going to see it a second time.
I really like Ryan, his last two (only other films) were excellent, and he hasn't gotten a big head like many Hollywood types. I think it's ok if he gets bad reviews, everyone looks for something when the watch a movie. a 99% score is nothing to cry about, a 90% is nothing to complain about, that means some people just didn't get what they needed. What I don't like are the insinuations that it racist if you don't like the film. I'm gonna see this, at least once, but probably twice if it's as good as I think it's gonna be. I'm mean...look at the cast, my gosh! But the story is what's drawing me, and I had all the original BP comics as a kid, loved the character (even though Spidey, Hulk, and Sub-Mariner have remained my faves). I also really like that so many people will have a hero, or heroes, they can look up to identify with, and even seek to model. I hope this doesn't sound bad, if it does, pls understand my point here. I always wondered why Hollywood so often seems to have dealt more with negative stereotypes than positive ones, in how they represent the black community. This is gonna be great. great action, great cultural significance. I hope people are inspired in ways they never imagined with this movie, beyond the "finally a super hero movie for us" (which I get, it's all good, but there's more here, obviously), to some deeper themes Ryan mentioned, such as the Brother's Keeper (something deep, and biblical), and the endless possabilities of your aspirations , and how bitterness (Killmonger) grows into something that effects everyone around you. This is gonna be good!

I just have to nitpick like a nerd and add that Mr. Coogler didn't say nothing about bitterness--you meant "revenge and what it's worth" (and remind yourself that he said "what it's worth" before "what it costs" later on in that sentence clause). This comment has my heart singing DON'T get it twisted but that's bugging me--the bitterness you inferred and how it's a sore? It's not there on the record. We all are grown adults and should come correct on the themes's literal actual terminology before it gets misconstrued and falls down the slippery slope on a text-based platform... we don't play and you should meet us halfway. And that is a real fear for artists and artists who came up thru communities within social and political and legal minorities. Words mean things.

The good news is that the Lord hasn't forgotten any of them, for He's storing them up for us and is using them to prepare a place for us in His heavenly Kingdom.
