No matter how many times I watch it, it hits me the same every time💔😭
I grew up without my dad. He fought in Vietnam and when he returned and him and my mom got married he just wanted to run around with other women and get drunk. The last time I saw him as a kid I was 5. When I was 16 he was on his death bed at the VA Hospital. I thank God I had my grandpa to take me under his wing and show me what a real man was. A great husband, father, grandfather. After the live last night I realized that my papaw had been gone for 32 years. Yesterday marked 32 years of his passing. Thank you so much wolf for doing this one for me. Love and appreciate you.

I saw her here in Dallas before Idol and she shocked us all with this rendition. I re watch that concert and cry every time. Now, we saw her in Vegas last august and this was on one of the set lists…she did a diff set for each of the ten days…just ten performances…she updated the lyrics. She sang the song for the first time , updated, on the day her divorce was finalized. She fucking rocks…she is huge part of how I sing myself…..she’s incredible

The song was written by Kelly for her husband who restored her faith in men as fathers.
