    Ah, I remember that Cobra story well! BTW, Did you know that for the movie Gone In 60 Seconds, they made several Eleanor Mustangs? Each was made for a specific function in the movie. Some for suspension requiring scenes, crash scenes, interior shots, etc. I don't know how many survived or which ones are now in collections, but there are more than one around.

    Man you've got me thinking twice about what I want to do with my cars. Right now I've got a bone stock DSG cobra, an bone stock 03 torch red Mach 1 with a rare factory auto. I wanted to turbo the Mach 1 and Whipple the Cobra but the way you talk about these cars is how my dad looks at a 70 boss 302 or 65 fastback. Maybe I should leave them close to stock and build something I don't care about to beat on and go fast.. now idk what to do lol

    • @justin.c_svt
      @justin.c_svt  4 роки тому +1

      Hard choice. In the end, I would do what you love because in the end, its more important to enjoy the car instead of trying to keep it "worth more money". Some people love to have their car stock and see what it was like new, so do what you like the most.

      Yea I saw your collection. Very cool cars, I wouldn't want to mod either of the cobras bc there so low miles and close to stock. I bought my sb with ported blower already so I swapped a vmp on there. Good power. But stock cobras are so rare, it's cool to see

    • @Brosonmedia
      @Brosonmedia 4 роки тому

      In my opinion, I think you will love the 2.3 VMP. It is a great blower for the cobras. I had a gen1 with the gt500 throttle body and made 600whp and 550tq. It was a fun setup. I saw a few people post about the supercharger having an internal issue. I'd have to read more about it, but in my experience it was a good setup.

    • @justin.c_svt
      @justin.c_svt  4 роки тому

      @@Brosonmedia I really like the 2.3 VMP. the only reasons I would like the 2.65 besides the obvious power difference is because of the lower temperatures and the more efficiency. There is less chance of belt slip because you can run a bigger pulley with the same power output as the 2.3 from what I read.

    I have to disagree and say the most popular pioneering Terminator on UA-cam is the "Snake bite venom" Cobra that does the burnouts and flybys. The one video where he says "man he rips on that thing" is what got me into Terminators.

      @GenAfterNextTactics 4 роки тому

      @@justin.c_svt Yeah i agree, for the sake of making a video on it, this DSG is the one to do it on. Although I did follow a thread i found somewhere where the guy in the black "KB Cobra" doing flybys, different from the Snakebite Venom car but pretty much the same car and video style, was genuinely uploading videos of his car on YT of him doing flybys to show off his Borla exhaust and attaching the link to SVTPerformance. The guy is from and videos were shot in Louisiana, and the guy sold his car back around 2010 and eventually bought a Corvette. Not much info on the car beyond that sadly. • @Lethal_Venom
    @Lethal_Venom 4 роки тому +1

    DSG is one of my top 3 colors I would love to have one when next year rolls around and I go to get one. Few things that are a bummer with this car, the SRA and the cage. I would not buy one with an SRA unless the IRS was included and cages are a no go. I can't imagine seeing Cobras for that price with that mileage now, would be nice though. I'm looking to spend about 25K and do either you or your brother or anyone that you know that has bought Terminators have any experience with using Lightstream? It's looking like my best bet as of now but I still hear reviews of people who have had a tough time getting approval. I'll most likely use the secured loan option even though I have good credit ( 750+ FICO and under 35% debt to income when I go for a Terminator loan) but I'm trying to play it as safe as possible when time time comes.

    • @justin.c_svt
      @justin.c_svt  4 роки тому +1

      In this case, at least the dash wasn't cut apart to make room for the cage. I do not have any experience with lightstream. I know a lot of people talk about the subject and say that some credit unions loan over 100% value for certain cars. With my Cobras, my Orange cobra was the only one I financed and when I did it I just got a loan for the "book value" and took a cashiers check and had to bring extra cash to put on top for the seller.

    • @Lethal_Venom
      @Lethal_Venom 4 роки тому

      @@justin.c_svt The Credit unions around here use NADA book value which lists the Cobra's much lower than what the market value is at and they only finance a % of the NADA value on top of that

    • @gregharper7316
      @gregharper7316 4 роки тому

      @@Lethal_Venom Unfortunately, you may have to take out a personal loan to cover the difference... You have good credit, so the rate shouldn't be too high. Good luck..!

    • @Lethal_Venom
      @Lethal_Venom 4 роки тому

      @@gregharper7316 Well that's the point of doing lightstream so I don't have to take out a personal loan to cover the difference. Most personal loans max out at 5K which still does not make up the difference from what NADA vaules them at VS what they are selling for. Most cars around 40,000 miles are in the low to mid 20K in price and NADA value's those cars at 13-15K and the loan for the credit union only covers a % of that value. Say they give you 12K on a car valued at 14K according to NADA and the price of the car is 23K a personal loan of 5K does not cover the difference.

    • @toolandmaynard
      @toolandmaynard 4 роки тому

      I had to use a loan from my 401k. Now that I did that I’m happy I did. U can get it appraised and that could help get more money from the loan company, at least from what I heard. Look in to insurance before going through this. Some won’t insure it. Good luck and I hope you get it.

    • @justin.c_svt
      @justin.c_svt  Рік тому +1

      I say cut up and use V6 cars. It makes more sense to get rid of the V6 computer and everything and use a standalone control pack for a coyote with boost

    • @Mustang_Dan
      @Mustang_Dan Рік тому

      @@justin.c_svt I agree. My first “muscle car” was an ‘84 g body regal with a small block buick 350 my dad and I swapped in after yanking out the 3.8 v6. I got it way back when I was 14. If it would’ve been a factory T-Type or Grand National, I’d have left it stock with bolt ons.
      My only issue with v6 mustangs as project foundations is having to swap in bigger brakes, bigger wheels, 7.5 to an 8.8 rear end, and then exterior pieces if you don’t want it to look like a v6 sleeper. Now if one is going to run a boosted coyote, then one might swap out brakes and wheels etc anyways.

    • @justin.c_svt
