I think that a lot of people like him,because he is young and he is keeping everything very real. with every song he tells us some more of his private life, and he shares his struggles. I believe most of his subs are also really young too and its just cool seeing someone so talented grow with you. And the dude obviously has flow, wordplay, some nice rhymes, the dude can sing and has a really good ear for hooks, he has charisma, character and is just overall a chill dude. I get what you are trying to critique, but i think him being so young is the exciting part of it. You get to see his growth over the years and i believe this dude has a future in rap. If you would like another song suggestion i would probably say "nocturnal rainbows".
There is nothing wrong with liking him for any of those reasons that you mentioned. We are only being objective and looking at his music and ability from a technical standpoint. He has potential and he has done a great job cultivating a fan base and developing his craft thus far. Is he an elite rapper? Of course not but that shouldn't stop him from improving. Fans can be a gift and and a curse for an artist. Sometimes fans give an artist a ''false sense of reality'' regarding their craft and they become complacent and never improve. We want this kid to WIN that is one of the reasons why we are being so critical. GREAT COMMENT though bro. We appreciate the feedback.

this reaction, for me, was vastly superior to the last reaction you did on Iamtherealak. i know george struggles sometimes trying to say what he wants to say without being too negative, and i can respect that, but what i want to hear from you guys is precisely what you guys presented in this video. i like to hear the praise as well as the criticism, and i think you guys do that really well. being unbiased means to judge every song the same no matter who sings it, so just because this dude is "young and positive" doesn't mean you should "take it easy" on him. last time you reacted to this guy, george held back, and this time, you guys were real and unbiased, a very nice improvement. as a side note, and i know i say this a lot, but you dudes have a really really good dynamic and bounce off each other well. ryan being more lenient and positive balances out george's more critical personality nicely. this channel would likely be a flop if it was just one of you, but since you dudes are doing this together, it seems to be bringing you success. your channel looks like it is growing pretty steadily, and congratulations to you for that, you guys deserve it. keep up the good work my dudes.

HOWEVER we would be remiss if we said that giving our opinion on a grand scale doesn't require a bit of tact and/or strategy sometimes. Even in the real world giving your 100% raw and uncut opinion can sometimes do more harm than good. Sometimes in life it's better to hold back and deliver your opinion at a more appropriate time. In this case, we wanted to get a lil' more info from him to really give him a fair assessment. The length of time that someone has been practicing something is SIGNIFICANT to us when we are evaluating them. I love the fact that you hold us accountable and trust me as we grow, we'll need it from time to time lol. Salute.
haha, thank you, friend. i can see where you're coming from, criticism can definitely do more harm than good, it really depends on how it's received. when i comment, i try to envision it as myself receiving the criticism. admittedly, i don't rap, but i do draw a bit, so the translation between the two art forms might not be perfect, but the best way that i have grown as an artist personally is from raw opinion. i like to know what i've done well and what i need to work on, and if i never received criticism i would have never grown as an artist. it is really easy to get stuck in a place you feel safe when all you hear is praise. but i feel you, there is quite a difference between me receiving criticism from an art professor versus a youtube channel like yours that evaluates someone else's music in front of an audience, and i forget that sometimes. you need to be careful with the criticism you give, but you two do it well, you are thoughtful about what you say and it shows through your videos. you don't put someone on blast unless you know they're fairly established and they deserve it (i'm looking at you, tech n9ne sriracha).

I feel people like us that came up listening to hip hop when it revolved around being lyrical look at music different. Dudes these days could rap on a 5 minute beat and you might understand 3 words. And these be the top dudes out right now. I don't get it and when you voice your opinion they call you a hater. They think a nice beat solves everything. They main fan base young kids that don't know real hip hop cuz this trash is all the media feeds them. The best way to put it is there are 2 types of artists. There are rappers and then there is a mc. These days rap is a fashion show and a popularity contest. Who's hanging out with the kardashians. Back in the day it was about being lyrical and actually saying something. This is the mc. An artist who was lyrical and who could connect with people through their lyrics because they were actually talking about something. For example future is a rapper. Locksmith is a mc. Sorry for the long comment. It's just nice to finally hear real reactions from unbiased people who know real hip hop.

It's pronounced AK like the gun. Just want to say he's one of my favorite rappers to listen to right now and I've watched a ton of reaction videos to his music. You guys are really the only ones who haven't just said he's fire and ended the video. Even though he's on of my favorites right now it's nice seeing someone who has looked for something more to say about him and his music. Bit late to comment, but my opinon is that he has age on his side so he has plenty of time to improve, more things to experience that he can draw inspiration from, and he is at a point where he can go either two ways he can keep going the way he's going and eventually he become one of the top rappers there is, or he can fall in to the wrong crowd of 'rappers' and end up making 'good' songs with nothing to say, keeping with the sports comparison the most talented sports people had to have hard work and someone to coach them so I think if he keeps at it and try to keep the right kind of people around him that will help him grow he will definitely be one of the best. P.S love how you deconstruct songs and are completely unbiased keep it up

mb they have more deeper lyrics but their flow is complete shit dude. every single one of them not sound anything good like Austin`s flow. well Hopsin sounds allright, Kendrick is allright on 95 % of hes track and only 5 % is rly good. This kid drops shit every week and every single one of hes tracks sounds like something that i can lsten to all daylong. He is way ahead of them in the music aspect, melody and all that shit as well.< beside flow. There is no limit for evolve talents of ourselfs, but still i cant see a big gap in between AK and every single one of your list.

This is why your channel stands out from the rest of the "reaction crowd". You guys are like the Siskel and Ebert of music. You listen to the song, then you break down why you did or didn't like it. Ryan tends to judge the music from the audience's perspective and George tends to judge from the industry/artist's perspective. You guys have something real here. How can you make it bigger? My guys, there is a rapper by the name of Caskey, he has a song called Generation Y. It is one of the realest songs to have been dropped recently. Speaks on a lot of shit in today's day and age. He's super underrated. Give him a shot. Love the content!

I agree with the Vegas guys. I have been listening to rap since rap's inception. AK is on point with everything as the beat, hook, tempo with flo, inflections, overall style. The only thing is the lyrics, a true artist's lyrics come from life experience and he will grow with it as do we all. With that said AK is 17, he is laying down amazing lyrics that would speak to me if I were 17-25 years old. I enjoy it, and listen alot, it's just that kinda been there done that for me on the lyrics part. Everything else reminds me of rap from yesteryear, man how I miss it. I commend AK on his talents and diligence. He is only going to climb higher and be more widely known. No hate to you AK keeping doing what you doing.

I thought everything was on point. I definitely agree with Ryan on this. I love the video, his style, and how entertaining it is. It kept me interested. Me, also speaking as a 30+ man, understands where you're coming from George, but you have to look at it from AK's point of view. This is everything that goes on in his life. Everything in his life that effects him personally. You have to listen and judge it for its purpose of entertainment. Not every rap song you're gonna relate to...especially from a 17 year old. He hasn't experienced a lot of the things we've experienced. You should just judge his songs by how it sounds and its entertainment value. Wait till he gets older before you judge by if you can relate to it. Other than that I've enjoyed watching both you guys on here. I love the fact that you guys discuss the video after you've watched it. Very entertaining.
