4:37 stops right before the beat drop Lost in Vegas: "I thought there was going to be a beat drop in there" NF drops the beat: "You ain't see that coming!"
You need to watch outcast and why to understand the cage and the shopping cart with balloons. You need to watch mansion to understand why he pointed to his head and said house. This shit has layers. Like an Ogre x 2... LAYERS.
Well if you look at it this way Intro 3 is also pretty important in the whole concept as he tells that he is the one holding the keys to his own prison ...
You know why else has layers? Parfait’s... they have layers too. Everyone likes parfait’s. You ever hear anyone say “ you want a parfait? Hell no I don’t want a parfait!”..
So much past went into this, they cage represents his past with outcast. The cart from why, white coats are his past. And now he's about to start fresh because he just received a white coat so be prepared for a new him. @TamiaSimms
“Why” - Explains shopping cart & balloons “Outcast” - Nate in his Cage, which is in the background. “Mansion” - Explains his mind being his house/mansion
@@zedxsplash I think you are very close. My hypothesis: The people in white are the spirits of people who passed away. The shopping cart that he is dragging around represents his body (balloons are his sins). At the end he climbs back into his body (because when he sings he can temporarily escape). A spirit then walks up to him struggling within himself... He is temped to become a spirit (handed white robe). Conclusion: He is struggling with suicide.
Cage = escaping his thoughts Shopping cart w/ balloons = burdens he still carries White suits = people who are happy who still have burdens Lady on bench = his mom who overdosed
I've heard that white suits are mental patients and he's struggling to identify as one of them even tho he's been diagnosed with OCD, might be wrong tho
On the topic of him "putting on his makeup while performing", when I was at one of his shows last year, I swear he made dead ass eye contact with me while I had my phone up recording him perform and I very nearly shit my pants 😂😂😂 The intensity on his face was almost scary and the intensity he puts into his songs and videos is EXACTLY how he performs live
This video has many layers to it. NF connects all of his videos. He's so good as story telling. The cage from outcast. His song "why" was him inside his own mind, with the balloons and writing on the walls. Now he's out of the cage, out of his mind. With his shopping cart and all his burdens (the balloons) NF IS COMING. STAND UP NF FANS, been here since intro 😎😎
He had a video called Outcast and he was locked in a cage, the cage in the background of this video. After outcast had a song called why and that is where the balloon and cart comes from. In that song he was just asking a bunch of questions about why things are the way they are and why he feels the way he feels. In this one its the search, he is searching for the answers to the questions he was asking. The cart is empty, that is where the answers to the questions from Why will go and the balloons represent his burdons.
@@JWWhite-to9zm I'm a big NF fan, and yeah this reaction is kinda lackluster and they obv don't vibe with him, but they've done some really good breakdowns of other songs. From what I've seen they just don't enjoy downer songs. That's tuff but it is what it is.
I’ve watched you guys grow from only a couple thousand subscribers to now and it’s crazy how well you’re doing and how real and genuine you are still. Keep grinding
Just an FYI all of NF's official videos have "real" subtitles in the CC option, not the normal crappy ones. So you can watch the video and see the lyrics together
I think you guys were the first reaction channel that noticed that the balloons represent his burden in first time listening 👏🏻 . And sorry for my bad English 😂
You have to go way back Start with mansion, intro 1 , 2 and 3 , then therapy session , how could you leave us , outro , outcast , let you down and finally the song why and then come back to this one .
Songs like this truly do help us. It takes a dark time to relate but this is motivating and therapeutic. I think of Disasterpiece-Slipknot. The pain in that recording is so real and relatable. That tone creates the most loyal fans. It’s so much bigger than music
I like that you guys are giving Nf his credit, artistically and all that. Even tho hes not going in your personal playlist. Alot of people dont understand that you can show an artist and his music respect without actually liking it. It doesnt mean you hate the artist or think its wack, you just might not be able to relate to it. Ya know? Which, back to my point, is just cool to see. You guys are honest about your views and thats dope as hell man. Like George would say, "That shit was FIRE dude!" hahaha, Edit: Also, there are a couple Nf songs you guys might put in your playlist: Options, No excuses, green lights, no name, returns, all i do, one hundred. But overall, Nf really isnt for you guys. Which is completely understandable. To each they're own.
NF is just the best out. Videos really are like movies. 🔥. Here’s my take on the symbols, some of which carry over from other videos. Cage in back represents being trapped by past and burdens (was featured in Outcast video). Black balloons are burdens / pains, cart is like a cage (in Why video), and he’s carrying it with him, but smaller version. His “house” represents his memories / emotions / spirit (reference Mansion). You’re making progress, NF! White guys are people pretending to be perfect or at least trying to be but they also have burdens they’re also carrying. Video starts out in a dark, depressing place. Ends in a place with more green / life. NF is making progress in his search for peace. The search is for peace and release from the pains of the past and hope for future. Forgiveness, grace, and hope. White clothes means maybe someone is offering him that (Christ). 🔥🔥🔥
So Ryan was kind of on the right page about his burdens being dealing with fame but that's only part of the picture. NF has had a rough life, the biggest thing that happened to him was his mom overdosing on pills which you guys know about from "How Could You Leave Us". NF is just a really self conscious person and has struggled with depression most of his life. Music from the start has been his way of dealing with those emotions and letting out his feelings.
I relate to this song so much. Shout out to NF to highlight how crippling depression can be for someone, no matter what amount of money, fame, people in their lives. Thank you two for covering a song like this, since you love logic so much how about having a review of 1-800. Loving how much the channel has grown. I’ve only been a subscriber for about 8 months but I’ve watched basically all of your earlier videos because you guys can really explain the meaning and lyrics that make the tracks that much better for me. ✌️
its funny to watch reactions videos from people who have been invested in NF and understand all the tie ins to his other songs and videos vs those who haven't, It's a night and day difference in responses.
Been waiting for y’all to drop this!! Thanks, so happy 😁 Love from Tennessee. I do believe that the black balloons 🎈 Represent the burdens that you carry through life. Disappointment-Fear-Failure etc. Always behind him, always with him and very close.
I normally do not listen to this style of music, but damn... The video, lyrics, and music is kick ass. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for introducing NF to me.
He sampled the movie "The bad batch " on Netflix. The movie Is about people searching for a good, safe place. A place to start over and detox from the negativity. When he sat down in the cart it's to symbolize that he is for sale aka the album is coming out but moving forward he is going to be a new person hence the reason the guy put the clean, white clothes in the cart . Nf is simply Amazing and a breath of fresh air.
for 5:33, the cage is from perception's storyline, mostly with outcast, intro III, and why. also, for 3:35, in interlude, one of his talks on spotify. i don't know if it can be found on youtube, but in it, he said "i had released an album, i had everything i had ever dreamed of happening, and i didn't feel happy at all" so he was struggling with depression a lot and still is during his fame. this sounds really formal but thats just easier to explain it!~
In his last album he was trapped in his cage hence the cage in the beginning. In his new album coming out he has broken out of the cage in search of something but the balloons and the cart are from his last video "why". All the other lyrics with his house, etc are past songs and lyrics that is a part of the whole story.
Great reaction! It's so refreshing to find reactor's who are honest about things. Most reactors cover NF for views. I love NF but he is not intricate! He definitely has his own lane! Love this channel! Great job guys! ❤
since his first albums it's been continued teaching kids people to see they aren't alone and can speak up and not be negative and release the fear and anger over stuffing burdens down inside and learn positivity and hope bc they aren't alone. Every song verse and word means something intentionally. very very deep rooted abuse pain and suffering inside and how to get free. it's so underrated and is a combined masterpiece.
The cage can be a reference to "outcast" he says "You thought I was an issue when the door was locked, you should see it when it opens" and he was in that very same cell
So many "reaction" videos out there. I always look forward to the stuff you guys release. I'm posting this at 30 seconds in (before the reaction) because I know its gonna be legit. You guys post stuff from Joyner Lucas (my favorite rapper) to RUSH (one of my favorite classic rock bands). ALWAYS looking forward to your next video! Now...time to watch this one.....
“Hate when I lose sight, life gets blurry!” When you lose sight, literally, your vision gets blurry. However I think it also means when you lose your ambition life loses meaning.
The cage is from Outcast. The balloons and the cart is from WHY. The house reference is from Mansion. This has a lot of symbolism and references to his other albums and songs.
along with his songs "Outcast" and "Why", the song starts out "had to see a therapist.. . . Something funny's going on up in my house" and he points to his head.. This also references his song/album "Mansions".. where he relates personality, experiences, fears, etc.. as rooms in his Mansion.. NF is one of the deepest rappers out there.. not just makes you think.. but he relates his music to his life.. and definitely gives you something to think about and decipher with almost everyone of his songs.. :)
Who else is binge watching people reacting to NF?
Specifically this song tho I love it!
Non stop haha
Me. I can't stop,
Me too

Wow really funny comment. Wow crazy. No way. I love skit comments. Yay
He knew there was gonna be a beat drop, he says sounds like there was gonna be a beat drop
Because he watched the lyrics ,not fair :))
"Drums come in" that's what he's referring to. Because anyone who knows about NF knows he uses kick pads in his songs, not your standard drum beats.
You need to watch outcast and why to understand the cage and the shopping cart with balloons.
You need to watch mansion to understand why he pointed to his head and said house.
