The people in white are the spirits of people who passed away.
The shopping cart that he is dragging around represents his body (balloons are his sins).
At the end he climbs back into his body (because when he sings he can temporarily escape).
A spirit then walks up to him struggling within himself... He is temped to become a spirit (handed white robe).
Conclusion: He is struggling with suicide.

He had a video called Outcast and he was locked in a cage, the cage in the background of this video. After outcast had a song called why and that is where the balloon and cart comes from. In that song he was just asking a bunch of questions about why things are the way they are and why he feels the way he feels. In this one its the search, he is searching for the answers to the questions he was asking. The cart is empty, that is where the answers to the questions from Why will go and the balloons represent his burdons.

NF is just the best out. Videos really are like movies. 🔥. Here’s my take on the symbols, some of which carry over from other videos. Cage in back represents being trapped by past and burdens (was featured in Outcast video). Black balloons are burdens / pains, cart is like a cage (in Why video), and he’s carrying it with him, but smaller version. His “house” represents his memories / emotions / spirit (reference Mansion). You’re making progress, NF! White guys are people pretending to be perfect or at least trying to be but they also have burdens they’re also carrying. Video starts out in a dark, depressing place. Ends in a place with more green / life. NF is making progress in his search for peace. The search is for peace and release from the pains of the past and hope for future. Forgiveness, grace, and hope. White clothes means maybe someone is offering him that (Christ). 🔥🔥🔥

NF is class and very real and relevant to struggles in society and is underrated for me
So Ryan was kind of on the right page about his burdens being dealing with fame but that's only part of the picture. NF has had a rough life, the biggest thing that happened to him was his mom overdosing on pills which you guys know about from "How Could You Leave Us". NF is just a really self conscious person and has struggled with depression most of his life. Music from the start has been his way of dealing with those emotions and letting out his feelings.
That song will make you cry no lie...

Songs like this truly do help us. It takes a dark time to relate but this is motivating and therapeutic. I think of Disasterpiece-Slipknot. The pain in that recording is so real and relatable. That tone creates the most loyal fans. It’s so much bigger than music

When he sat down in the cart it's to symbolize that he is for sale aka the album is coming out but moving forward he is going to be a new person hence the reason the guy put the clean, white clothes in the cart . Nf is simply Amazing and a breath of fresh air.

In his new album coming out he has broken out of the cage in search of something but the balloons and the cart are from his last video "why". Ok. His mind is like a mansion with multiple rooms that he either hasn’t gone into in a while, or doesn’t want to go into. The song mansion points that out clearly. The line where he says that he had to see a therapist and found out something funny is going on in his house. That’s referring to his song therapy session, where in the music video, he relates back to the song Mansion as well. The cage is from perception, and he is leaving that in the past. Obviously, him walking through the landscape, and the title of the song refer to the fact that he is searching for a different escape from his burdens, which are the balloons, and he has a cart because the burdens are too much to hold on his own. Those items are from his recent song WHY, and he is still carrying those around, but perception is in the past.

Here’s my take. Cage is in background. He’s realized he had the keys to get himself out of this depressive state. His cart Seems to represent his heart. Empty but heavy. Notice at moments he pulls the cart or lifts it as if it had a lot of weight to it. Over his head are the balloons which he said in this song are his “burdens”. He talks about going to see a therapist. The people in white appear to be a representation of him going to therapy (mental patient jumpsuit). Also notice they carry only a few black balloons. Therapy is healthy. In some flashes he punches the balloons. Seeming to try to destroy these burdens. He said that they hover over him like an evil surprise. The balloons float. Even though he punches them they keep floating up and hang over him. At the very end he sits in the cart. Seems that he just sits in the heaviness of his heart. But then someone hands him the white psych ward clothes. Seems to be a representation that he has visited with a therapist and he has the opportunity to begin the healing process. The question is, will he wear the clothes? Most likely he will because he has some new white merch. But even though he is trying to heal, he still has the heaviness. Idk, that’s what I get.

for 5:33, the cage is from perception's storyline, mostly with outcast, intro III, and why. also, for 3:35, in interlude, one of his talks on spotify. i don't know if it can be found on youtube, but in it, he said "i had released an album, i had everything i had ever dreamed of happening, and i didn't feel happy at all" so he was struggling with depression a lot and still is during his fame. this sounds really formal but thats just easier to explain it!~

All four albums is like a connected series. For instance in his when i grow up song, paid my dues, leave me alone, and why song, the black smile is the fake smile that he mentions in therapy session song.
He hides eggs in his videos. In when i grow up song there was two hidden eggs in that song. A black balloon by the trash cans and in burger joint he grabbed at receipt that had the date and time of when his song time was being released.
