I like how the reasoning behind it all can just be summed up as "light likes to win. Kira likes to win. Light is Kira", with angry bird having no correlation to it whatsoever other than the fact the show needs a medium to keep us entertained. This is death note at its peak
L: Hey, Light. Quick question. Are you Kira? Light: Of course I'm not. *L's theme starts playing* L: (Yes, or course you're not Kira. But then again, if I were Kira and someone asked me if I was Kira, I would of course say that I am not.) Light: (But that is of course a reasonable and perfectly normal response. I mean, he could ask literally anyone that same question, and they would give the same response. However, it's not exactly what someone would say that matters it's-) L: (How they say it. Light's response to my question wasn't exactly a generic one. His left eye twitched for just a fraction of a second, his eyes widened then suddenly closed, and while unseen by the untrained eye, a teensy tiny drop of sweat emerged from his forehead. Meaning that for a very miniscule moment, Light contemplated his answer. And why would he, if he is not in fact Kira? Of course, it's probably because it's slightly hot in this room, and perhaps he's just have allergies, but what if I were to question him on this?) Light: (If I tell him that, he would just be even more suspicious. I mean, how could any normal, totally innocent person even come up with that response. Damn you, L! He's backed me into a corner.) Ryuk: ...Hey, Light. Why are you two just staring at each other? Neither one of you has even moved a muscle for a whole minute. It's kinda creepy.
Everyone be talking about how accurate this is, but L would have immediately known that Angry Birds is a horizontal aspect ratio game, thus he can’t have played it vertically.
It makes sense to attempt to play it vertically because Kira likes to use the easy way out with his powers to kill, meanwhile Light is very willing to take the challenge and try to play a horizontal game vertically, thus hiding the fact that he is in fact Kira by pretending to be more interested in challenges. Problem however is that L thought about how Light might be trying to hide the fact that he is Kira by pretending to be a person who loves challenges, therefore he correctly predicted that Light is bluffing by not using the obvious solution to play in the standard horizontal format, raising the suspension that he is in fact Kira.
buy the bird, give L a shot at killin the pigs. It adds to Light wanting to win, but also adds to the fact he is "trying" to be friends with L, which would switch everything up.
As someone who was practically raised by the Angry Birds franchise, and knows almost nothing about Death Note, this was an special experience. Thank you Solid, for these odd vibes.
As someone who has grown up with angry bird and has watched death note i also feel like this was an special experience. Very nostalgic and stupid I like it.
Some random guy walks by and hears them muttering "to each other" and thinks, "Dang. They're _really_ taking this case seriously, trying to get in the headspace of Kira. Aren't we fortunate to have two such brilliant minds on the side of justice? ☺️"
I have often pictured in my head scenes like this where two characters are having competing internal dialogues, except that they happen real time, and it cuts to a waitress or something just watching two nearly comatose people staring at each other in total silence with increasing concern over several minutes.
Ryuk having no idea what's going on is far more entertaining than the whole video. Like he was always around and rarely ever got confused by Light's bullshit.
Light: "Alright, there's no other choice..." *Taps Buy* [Transaction not complete, insufficient fund on account] "Oops, I guess I'm too broke..." L, squinting: "Oh? What did you spend all your money on?"
I like how Light was initially just going to buy the extra bird without even thinking about it, because he is indeed Kira. It's only after L goads him about it that he starts second guessing and self analyzing his decision.
Actually brilliant. The impression of the characters, use of the music and linking to the events of the show is so good. Awesome ending on the ryuk punchline. Sick video
The best way to win this situation is to buy the last bird and be like: "Hey L do the last shot for me bro, I trust you." Then you get him hooked to the game. Wait until he has the same scenario on his own mobile device. He has nobody analyzing his moves and he doesn't like losing so he buys the last pig, but during that microtransaction, you can see his name on the phone. Easy.
But it turns out that it wasn't actually the real name! L would know that if the person with his fake name died, just within the time he was making the microtransaction, it would mean that Light was actually Kira! thus, L has figured it all out.
@@dylanzlol7293 Now, would overanalytical Light realize that L let him and only him see the name on his account, and hold off on writing the name down just in case it was a trap? Or blindly surge ahead in cocky self-assurance?
I’ve wondered since I saw the show for the first time if simply writing “L” would be sufficient to kill him. It is what everyone knows him by and calls him, so it might count. Idk, what counts as a name felt too unexplained in the original series
the only solution is to press the screen with the palm as of cleaning it, but Kira programmed before an app that recognizes a palm brush as an input and will send a message to a hacker of trust asking him to block Light's phone and make it crash, then Kira will turn it on again but the battery will be 0%, forcing light to charge it. But L could have hacked that hacker and see if he was teaming with Light.
I saw this on instagram and answered a notification before watching, my feed refreshed when i was gone. I looked through every account i followed for it to no avail. It was all worth it.
Light has a clever defense he could employ here, a third option that can completely turn the game on its head: he could say his phone is running low on battery, so he'll just have to come back to the level later. It's an obvious delaying tactic to prevent L from seeing whether he's Kira or not, but it is a rational and reasonable thing for Light to do in order to preserve his phone's battery life as well as maintain contact with others in an emergency, and so necessarily completely free of suspicion. Once such a delaying tactic is complete Light could retreat, complete the level later on in his room or with a charger, and do it without buying extra birds. By then discussing his solution with L he could completely negate the line of questioning that L pursued, freeing him of suspicion of being Kira by displaying that he was unwilling to go to any lengths to achieve his goal while still willing to put in the time and effort to achieve an optimal outcome-something Light would be willing to do, but not Kira. On the other hand, such a solution would be a display of intellect that would be predictable by L, and may draw increased suspicion-but regardless, less suspicion than buying the bird here would induce.
I love that both of them overthought this entire scenario to the point that neither of them considered that Light could just restart the level, thereby avoiding the Kira allegations and allowing himself another chance to win.
L's logic here is basically "if he buys the bird, he's probably Kira, even though Light would do that either way and he doesn't have any reason not to"
That would be amazing. "Hey Light what do you have there?" "Oh, I'm just about to make some breakfast. Just waiting for the toast to be done." "I see... so what will you add, butter or jam?" *intense piano music* 'Damn him, he's testing if im Kira!'
Basically on the same level as Death Note's logic: a test where there's no differentiation between being Kira and not being Kira, so the test is actually meaningless.
Honestly, this is perfect, I love the endless battle for dominance and secrecy over things that may seem trivial to normal people but to L and Light they're turning points in the actions of the opposition created to discretely reveal the others secrets using subtext and deceit. Honestly it's beautiful watching things like this happen.
I love imagining characters doing crap like this. Like these two go to a cafe and this happens and everyone else looks over like 'are they OK, or should we call a hospital?'.
So fucking happy that I’ve finally seen Death Note, recognizing the music and the timing of Ryuk’s laugh and everything else makes this a way better experience than if I had just heard of it
The voice acting in this skit is phenomenal, if you told me this was a skit made by the actual actors at a comic con or deleted scene or something I probably would have believed it lol. That aside this skit is hilarious and very fitting of both characters great job!
Light would be wise to just rage quit the game. This act of immaturity would confuse L and maybe remind him that despite lights intelligence, “he’s still just a teen”

You can literally put L's theme in anything to make a scene more "intriguing"
I like how the reasoning behind it all can just be summed up as "light likes to win. Kira likes to win. Light is Kira", with angry bird having no correlation to it whatsoever other than the fact the show needs a medium to keep us entertained. This is death note at its peak
you could use this formula to put death note into anything. Next up will be L and Light overanalyzing eachother's order at lunch lol
Except this over simplification is nothing like death note, What a garbage take on the series.

L: Hey, Light. Quick question. Are you Kira?
Light: Of course I'm not.
*L's theme starts playing*
L: (Yes, or course you're not Kira. But then again, if I were Kira and someone asked me if I was Kira, I would of course say that I am not.)
Light: (But that is of course a reasonable and perfectly normal response. I mean, he could ask literally anyone that same question, and they would give the same response. However, it's not exactly what someone would say that matters it's-)
L: (How they say it. Of course, it's probably because it's slightly hot in this room, and perhaps he's just have allergies, but what if I were to question him on this?)
Light: (If I tell him that, he would just be even more suspicious. I mean, how could any normal, totally innocent person even come up with that response. Damn you, L! He's backed me into a corner.)
Ryuk: ...Hey, Light. Why are you two just staring at each other? Neither one of you has even moved a muscle for a whole minute. It's kinda creepy.
L: Hey, Kira!
Light: What? Oh, dammit.

@@elitegamer9310 We deserved to have a conclusion to this amazing story
Everyone be talking about how accurate this is, but L would have immediately known that Angry Birds is a horizontal aspect ratio game, thus he can’t have played it vertically.
@@peepeepoopoo7723 wait so you play it vertically?
It makes sense to attempt to play it vertically because Kira likes to use the easy way out with his powers to kill, meanwhile Light is very willing to take the challenge and try to play a horizontal game vertically, thus hiding the fact that he is in fact Kira by pretending to be more interested in challenges. Problem however is that L thought about how Light might be trying to hide the fact that he is Kira by pretending to be a person who loves challenges, therefore he correctly predicted that Light is bluffing by not using the obvious solution to play in the standard horizontal format, raising the suspension that he is in fact Kira.
He's playing it vertically light really is that good
Are you stupid or something? If you play it vertically, gravity pulls the birds down, increasing their velocity
Unless he is a psycho.... wait a minute??

Who would buy it and give it away to L? That's like buying lunch because you are hungry then throwing it away. L would never fall for that.

I like to imagine Light and L were saying everything out loud and didn't notice.
they were just saying it out loud and were so into their own thoughts that they didnt hear the other
Some random guy walks by and hears them muttering "to each other" and thinks, "Dang.

Sick video
Bruh the death note side of UA-cam is literally hilarious
That's it, that's the entire show
add Mello and N and you have the entire show.
I like how even though neither of them talk ryuk still reacts as if he heard all of it

the only solution is to press the screen with the palm as of cleaning it, but Kira programmed before an app that recognizes a palm brush as an input and will send a message to a hacker of trust asking him to block Light's phone and make it crash, then Kira will turn it on again but the battery will be 0%, forcing light to charge it.
But L could have hacked that hacker and see if he was teaming with Light.
@@dubbyplays ah, then shouldn't L just hack light right away without circling?

This is hands down the greatest video to ever come into existence
I love that both of them overthought this entire scenario to the point that neither of them considered that Light could just restart the level, thereby avoiding the Kira allegations and allowing himself another chance to win.
L's playing 4D chess, you can't even buy birds in the original.
