  • It's been hard to keep up with the schedule here lately, a few to many irons in the fire. I've got to get the parts truck pulled apart and I need to get the restoration project running again in the near future. Follow along for some more work, glamorous ? No, but it's part of the grind.
Please like, share and subscribe if you want to follow along with this build and many other projects.
Hit the little notification bell if you want to know when new videos come out, Wednesdays normally.
    THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!

Didn’t look too bad. Betcha take a good breaker bar and ratchet next time. I know the feeling, gather up everything you think you’ll need and get there and find out it ain’t enough to get it apart. That’s actually kinda wild that one of those had a clutch cable and the other had solid linkage. Those vents on the corners of the cab we used to take them off put tape or cardboard behind them in the winter. Helped keep the cold air out. Another trick was taking them and flipping them over if it was medium temperatures out. I bet you’ll end up making a few more parts runs out there cause I see a lot of good useable parts inside and outside. Stay cool

Yep, its always the tool you didn’t grab, lol. I had forgotten you drove these back in the day.. i would think the mechanical clutch linkage would be superior. Maybe it was because its a year newer.

@@BrokenWrenches I’ve heard of them having clutch cables. But I agree the mechanical linkage is better. But you have to keep the ends lubed up good. Those and 9670s I drove both. The 9670 was nicer just because it was so much roomier. But they were and still are tough reliable trucks just about always got you thru. I miss the simplicity of those trucks but I think today’s trucks are stronger pullers. The only constant thing in trucking is it’s always changing sometimes better sometimes not. Stay cool

Looking good. The two part tank threw me off when i was building my 4070. The smaller section is called the "Wet Tank" its supposed to be first in line after the air compressor and collect mist of the water. From there a top port feeds the other 2 tanks. As for the welder ive always found the pushing of the wire is a grounding problem.

It definitely had more crap in it,,, i plan to put an air drier on the truck, maybe it will be a dry tank now. Thank you for watching and for the welding tip. I will be installing those parts i bought from you soon.

@Broken wrenches if you use a AD9 air dryer it fits perfectly behind the Air cleaner on the right side of truck. I'll send you pictures on Messanger of where I have mine tucked in.
