I never really understood mamimi until I realized that the show was mostly an outsider's perspective on an abused person. I later realized she was abused at home, bullied at school and the one person she liked "abandoned " her and "replaced" her . Living your teenage years like that would be seriously depressing
To make matters worse, her relationship with Naota was also really twisted. She only hung around him because she was still in love with his brother, and he was the closest person to him that she could find. Naota wanted Mamimi because he seemed to genuinely like her. However, deep down it was also about how he was living in his brother's shadow, and he seemed to think that getting with his ex girlfriend would prove that he is somehow equal to him. They both seemed to genuinely care for each other, but it all centered around Naota's brother, which ultimately soured their relationship. At least that's how interpreted it.
yet she had the choice to deal with her trauma the way a good person would but instead she decided to perpetuate the abuse cycle messing with naota tho and i didn't like how she kinda got away with it in the end://
@@LM-sv9cd well I think the point is that she's so severely misguided that she has no idea how to cope properly. We know this because she constantly exhibits unhealthy and abnormal behavior, it would be unrealistic to expect her to deal with trauma properly. Also, even though it's easy to forget since the main character is so young, Mamimi isn't fully grown up either, she's only 17. At the end of the day, she's not a villain, just another person who still needed to grow and change
@@jonnekallu1627 um the problem is the story is pretty hard to understand and she was trying to kiss a robot a few times , so I'm not sure I can just guess her character
She is a very tragic character, but yes she technically is a villain. She is basically a lighter, more realistic version of Haruko. She stalks Naota, uses him, and commits arson (destruction)....just like Haruko. And the fact that shes is brothers ex makes it all worse.

the fact that she was a pyromaniac didn't clue you in?

“Never Knows Best”
I watched this show again and Maimimi is straight up a villian
She is? Because she was using Naota as well? I guess you can say that 🤔
@@91Definite And ya know, the felony arson :) But yea, creeping on a young child is also bad.

More of an antagonist
Dude all of the female characters in this show besides Ninamori were written to be awful
My favorite scene will always be either the end of the fourth episode, or the stale bread scene from episode 1
Mi escena favorita sería cuando naota le dice a mamimi que no lo llame takkun o algo así y salia canti del cielo.
my favorite scene is from the same episode where she's eating a popsicle and it kinda looks like she's-
actually, ya know what, nevermind
ew. creep
ong
Courageous, absolutely courageous. (Mine too)
Or when Haruko is sitting on Naota on the bed before the gun scene.
My favorite scene is all of them
So cool! what an excellent idea :) Great job!
Great job
The music before the end of this scene sounds oddly familiar...
it's "patricia" by the pillows
Cool
very cool!
TE QUEDÓ GENIAAAL
Why is it your favorite scene?
Reflections a cool i think
Mamimi y takkun en el puente
Reminds of being a kid and looking at water in squirt guns
She was able to see a clear image of Mamimi through the water
Mamimi reflecting in the water gun is a really cool shoot that you don't find anywhere.
What's "flcl"?
Hard to explain, it's a fooly cooly sorta thing
An anime
Furi kuri
Oh man this is the start of a whole rabbit hole
Cool
