When i hear Leona sing, i'm often amazed at how different her speaking voice is from her singing voice. She has a soft spoken, really cute English accent and such a strong piercing singing voice. She's beautiful :)

@@vanoss1428 No she didnt. Both Leona and Avicii based their tracks on Penguin Cafe Orchestra - Perpetuum mobile. Its on youtube, you can listen to it. If someone copied, its Avicii lol. In fact, Avicii copied and offered it to Leona, then a misundersting happened but it was settled out in court ( Avicii was featured on Collide ). Bottom line is Avicii didnt come up with this melody.
He did not come up with the melody but he made his own version of the original. The Leona Lewis song sampled Avicii's version. So it is Avicii's version that is used in "Collide". They did not make their own version of the original.
@@phanders6236 he kept the melody same, he just added lyrics to it and some generic beats... and Leona did the same 😛 But he probably came up with this concept first and thats why he is now tagged and credited in the song, so everythings ok.

it wasn't Leona, it was her production team that took the original instrumental of his song and they recorded her vocals over it. yeah it went to court but the whole situation was settled and now we have an amazing song with Avicii's producing talent and Leona's amazing vocals. one of my fav songs

A little bit of a history lesson here: Avicii made a song called Fade Into Darkness that was released a month before this song. Leona sampled the song for this but Avicii and his manager then sued Leona’s label because they claimed the sample was unauthorised. The lawsuit almost got to high court when an agreement was made that Avicii would be listed a co-lead artist on this song.
If you enjoy this song, I recommend listening to Fade Into Darkness. In my opinion both songs are good but I personally prefer Avicii’s song.
