This song was such a hit and one of my favourite songs while growing up even though I didn’t speak English and didn’t understand the lyrics. I found it over 10 later when going through a toxic relationship and finally understood what it meant and it is still one of my favourite songs.

You know, when I first heard this song, I actually thought it was Leona Lewis singing this song because she and Agnes both sound and look suspiciously similar. But all in all, “Release Me” felt like the end of my days in foundation (2008-09) and the start of my days in Year 1 (2009-10).
