Ukraine is finding an EASY way to advance
Unfortunately, the Russians were well prepared, and in retrospect it was a bad move, this is a good one, gives Moscow dilemmas.
@@Mark5mithwhich part are you talking about when you say "Russia was well prepared"?
about previous incursions?
@@Mark5mith Russia was absolutely unprepared for this.
@rokas_stulga Kherson, that was not a good day at the office for Ukraine. Sorry, I should have been a bit clearer .
@@Mark5mith russians took Kherson without the fight because there was corrupt command in Kherson who just let them in.
and then they ran away from Kherson without the fight when Ukrainians took it back. not sure what you mean about their preparednes
PS. ow you probably talk about the region itself? not the city?
I mean, yea they are prepared with defence on the right bank of the river, but the Kherson itself actually didnt see much fighting because russians got it for free pretty much, and then gave it back form free because they ran away.
Question is, how sustainable is that incursion?
alright, alright ,alright!
Ukraine is the first and only country in history to occupy parts of a nucler power state :)
Ukraine didn't do this to take the fight to Russia, they did to prove a point and even after they retreat they will have well and truly made that point. They have succeeded in humiliating Putler and his army on it's own territory and they have shown the Russian people that they are vulnerable despite Putler's rhetoric. Regardless of Putler's stranglehold on the media news of Ukraine invading Russian territory will spread amongst the people, further undermining his strongman image he tries to maintain.
I would hope that they at least leave some mine fields before going home.
Go Ukraine!!

He was afraid of falling out of it!
Did Putin know his country is easier to invade before he started the war.
Germans also invaded Russia. It was fun in the beginning. In the end. 1 Million Germans surrendered to Russia. USA was roasting lots of German women and children alive by bombing cities like Dresden. Germans still came to USA to protect them from Russian wrath. Germans are still subservient to USA.
Just as a point of information, standard Soviet/Russian doctrine is to not attempt to "repel" attacks you're unprepared for. Rather, to fall back, let the enemy advance, and envelop them when you have enough forces. Trading territory for time to prepare.
Good luck enveloping anything. Look at a map.
It's already 2024
The Russians should dig up the roads and call Lukashenko.

So Russia how does this feel?
Medvedev said the objective of the war is no longer what is was for the past 5 minute since it was changed again. I think he has that goldfish memory because in February 2022, the plan was to take all of Ukraine and move into Moldova. But they failed miserably.
russia was going to very easily. But then nato started fighting Russia

Didn't Russia say if they were ever attacked over their borders they'd use nuclear?
Yes but they know it's their death rattle if they do. Putin cried wolf too many times and now his ultimate deterrent is his unusable bee sting and we all know it.
Russia forgot to mine their land that is why its easy for Ukraine.

On another level with that many Russian people expressing their negative opinions Of what’s happening in that region openly , more home truths that would usually be suppressed. Like numbers of casualties may come to light national , a factor that has influenced Russia to withdraw from conflicts in the past .
But this wont end well for Ukraine.

Putin needs to open a window and get some fresh air.
from a military stand point this a reckless move but is it pointless? no, it will boost Ukrainians morale while effectively demoralizing the Russians. now russia is in a limbo should they pull some of their troops from the Frontline or let the Ukrainians wreak havoc in kursk.
you cant demoralize drunk people
hope this won't start a world war.
It's an embarrassment but it is unlikely the UAF can hold this territory very long. Time will tell if this military expenditure of resources was worth it. Longterm I see little effect on the overall outcome of this war.
This is the very essence of 21st century maneuver warfare with what appears to be combined arms and real anti-drone tactics. If these troops had been sent to fight in the east, they'd suffer more casualties for less effect in a well-entrenched and mined area
😂😂
So negative of the "expert"; we held the Ypres salient for the whole war despite Germany trying again and again to take it, wasting countless lives and resources in the process.
It's just not smart from Ukraine at all. They're not playing the long game here they're just trying to poke and revenge attack.
Ukraine is already short staffed and every tank matters. Why use them to attack Russia when you know you're gonna have to retreat at some point? They just created a second front line and this means Ukraine will either be forced to retreat at some point, or send reinforcements from the east. Which would mean even more ground lost in the east.
I really don't understand the long game here. All it did was hurt Russia's ego and image. There is literally nothing that's going to be gained from entering Russia's land for a few km's....
@@iceicebaby8469 It is a moral booster for Ukraine and more importantly the Western supporters who must continue to give us critical aid. Definite PR win and headline grabbing. Does it relieve pressure by forcing Russia to reallocate it's resources? Maybe. The reality is Ukraine long-term can't win this war. Russia has the numbers in both manpower, munitions and again is all in increasing military spending 70% this year. There are alot of what if's especially if Western aid had come earlier and with no strings attached. As it stands now Russia continues to capture and hold more this year and Ukraine recapturing all its territory it has lost is just not realistic. It's not a movie and the good guys don't always win.
One regiment of 1000 troops achieve more than a russian full division it seems. That says something about quality.
