Only true in places where most people have bank accounts and a lot of work isn't paid in cash/under the table. I imagine where he is its mostly a cash economy
I think it’s amazing the support you have in your store, what really sets off my inner accountant OCD is all the cash in the bucket and not counted by machine and recorded... then you can see what your most profitable machines are and put your vending money as separate fund so you have money put to one side for buying more stock. But keep up the good work, love it despite my OCD
On eBay they sell sorters for pulling out silver. It works like a counter just pour the coins in and it puts the silver out the back. Works for dimes, quarters and halves also for war Nickles
I'm a truck driver, usually do my laundry at coin-op laundromats. Have used a few card-op'ed ones, like the coin ones better. I go for the top load washers, usually quicker thsn front loaders. As long as the washer is clean...good for me. Learned quite a bit from watching your videos, Brandon. 👍👍👍👍
I live in Arkansas too and I've heard all three also (more referred to as cokes the further south you go). I grew up in southern Louisiana and only ever called cokes there.
Grew up in Colorado and still live here. It’s ALWAYS been a pop machine to me! Talked to someone in New Jersey once and mentioned a ‘pop machine’ and he genuinely had no idea!
Put your bucket in one of your laundry carts it will make it so much easier to move around while you collect. Put a chair under your coin counter to raise up your bucket while using the coin sorter so you don't have to hold it. Try putting a cup or small box against the side chute to catch the coins. I hope this makes your life easier, because it did mine. From one mat owner to another. Keep up the good videos.
Big fan of the videos! Hard to find amateur-style (or non-"buy my class to get rich" style) videos that deal with small business and the like on youtube. Keep it up!
Possible solution(s) for the quarter counter/bucket and misc. change dispenser debacles: -Put a sturdy hook like a bike hook in the side of the wooden table (maybe with a C clamp so it's removable and won't be a potential hazard or annoyance), then move the machine back a bit so it dispenses right into the bucket. -Get a stool or a chair and put the bucket on it so it empties right in. -Depending on bucket vs. quarter counter's weights/strength of dispenser chute/material of the dispenser chute, hang the bucket from the dispenser. Could tip forward from weight of the bucket, and not sure if it'd be a good idea to put a heavy object on that... And for the penny, nickel, dime, etc. part: -I'd grab a plastic Tupperware bottom, like 8x8. If it's short enough, then you're set. Maybe put something heavy-ish behind or inside the Tupperware so it doesn't get bumped back from the coins coming out. Another thought for a container might be to grab a 2 liter plastic bottle and use scissors to make a little catcher dish that would fit _around_ the dispenser entirely. If you imagine a bottle standing straight up, you could cut maybe 1/3 of one of the sides off, and then stop cutting when the height from the bottom of the bottle is short enough to slide under the dispenser. It'd be stable since the "feet" on the bottom of the bottle would all be intact, and you could hold it against the side of the machine to keep it in place. If you cut it just right, I bet it would easily cover the width of that chute and would hit the back of the bottle you didn't remove. I'll try to "draw" it below because i'm sure this is confusing. You'd cut the bottle to go from this (original shape): / \ | | | | | | \/\/\/ To something like this: / | | | | |__ | | \/\/\/ Then just hold it against the side of the machine, and all of the pennies, nickels and dimes should fall right in! Hope that helps out if you see this. Great vids - always cool to see how different businesses operate and the unique challenges they have to overcome
The new Cash Counter is great. But the one thing that I'd recommend to you is that you should run each denomination thru the machine twice (check /dbl check) each count.
They could be twins separated at birth one leading his life into amazing business opportunities and the other unfortunately becoming a raging alcoholic

Ohioan here. The Centerville Costco has candy bars about $0.59 a piece. Sometimes Sam's Club is cheaper. My vending covers the Executive Membership with cash back alone.

McKittyBoats have u heard about star notes ?? There just as valuable as silver quarters and dimes look them up on eBay 1-100 bills up to 3X face value the only difference is they have tinny stars next to the serial numbers and there somewhat rare to come across They are replacement bills of ones that got damaged supposedly that’s why the star is on them
Elizabeth Marks-Graham Well I’ve made a small fortune collecting money and selling. Reason why I mentioned silver lol. Star notes are awesome when you find ones worth some bucks. I’ve been into collecting money two years and have more money than most 19 year olds. This channel interests me because making a small fortune is amazing. I’d love to do as much as him on this channel.
Cool videos dude, I’ve been interested in starting my very own laundry service. Watching your videos helps me get an idea as how much money they accumulate, minus the expenses like candy, pop, fabric softeners etc...plus keeping the change machine stocked with quarters while maintaining the bills... 💯🤑👌🏻
Have you considered a Costco Business Center for the sodas and snack packs? (Providing there's one nearby). Huge snack variety. For the coin sorter consider getting a used stool, etc. to set the bucket on so you don't have to hold it. For the coins that kick out to the side maybe use a shallow & wide tray such as an old pie pan, aluminum food tray, Swiffer tray. For the OCD electrician in me, can you put a plate on that wall outlet? Zap!

The counters give it a casino feel. For the nickel and dime overflow go grab the wife/children's barf bucket (1x2'x4"height) soapy water container we always used when scrubbing base boards. Trim the plastic lip to fit under the exit. For the Five gallon quarter bucket use a Borden plastic milk container or up end and trim another five gallon to height. I'm about to send you a bag of rubber bands so you can strap the camera to your head before you drop it catching strays. :) Laugh.

For the coin counter you should use a Tupperware to collect the ejected ones on the side so that all you have to do is hold the bucket and push coins into the machine
Get some milk crates from Amazon or the local dairy plant 2 should do and put them under the coin collection bucket and move the counter to the edge of the table so you can hold a cup under the other coin ejection slot
My only thought at the end was how often does he pull this kind of money and what is his monthly rent for the building. Hope this guy is profiting. I'm confident he knows more about it than me.
it looks like your coin counter is designed to have a drawstring bag attached at the quarter chute and those studs at the kickout spot look like they are to attach something as well, probably a little ramp thingy to direct them into a tray for further processing is my guess. I know nothing about counting machines, just a bit about material handling.
Put like the top of a tube sock or something over where the quarters come out so it directs them into the bucket and is easy to take off and move around

Silver is easy to search for thankfully. You just gotta line up your quarters and look at the edges.
Put like the top of a tube sock or something over where the quarters come out so it directs them into the bucket and is easy to take off and move around
