I've been having a bit of a burn out too, so I havn't been playing ESO too much recently, but I am slowly getting back into it. Just started playing again yesterday as a matter of fact. I still have my goal of getting all my (12) characters through every single zone. I was hoping I could get it done before Gold Road, but that just isn't possible, with it being less then a week away but I'll get them there eventually.

Tales of tribute is actually very fun when you know how to play and you play with a friend that's just as laid back as you are. I'm not a completive type. So finding fun in the little things keeps me entertained 😆

Try a new role really is good advice. I did the opposite of Cooper, went from a healer to a tank, and i spent months learning and researching and speaking to experienced tanks to learn the ropes. A year later im a very good tank and the feeling of "i made it" is great

The one thing that's really renewed my love for the game was content creation funny enough. I dabble with video editing from time to time and like to make funny skits and bits and stuff, and the wife hpes on wnd joins me. It gives me reason to grind gold it gives me reason to collect costumes make furniture decorate houses it does so much for my gameplay and enjoyment of the game overall.
Mostly cuz I'm always thinking what absurd thing I can do next with the emotes and bit of clever editing 😆
That and I actually feel like I'm making fun memories with my friends and wife. That's what's really important to me

But i try not to burnt out, i am like you try to complete all in game, i have 40k Achi. Points and i work to get more.
Nice VoD. Keep it like this.

I've got a lot of things that I do in eso, still play other games throughout the week but have my daily stuff I get done and then group with friends. To be real, the thing burning me out is the excessive events now. They used to be spaced out more and then it was "there's an event in a couple months" now there's another event constantly starting right after one another. Then everything floods with the less daily players farming things and then back to empty for a few days. This Cauldron drop was hell on getting anything done.

Yea I think it’s just the large meaningful content drought between the Q4 update and the Q2 chapter (November - June), so they flood that space with events to pad the numbers, which turns into burnout central during that time.
Luckily that period is coming to a close here shortly :)

I come from single player RPGs, so if I feel a tad of burn out... like after week after week of Events ( I don't grind them, but I have 2 accounts which I get tickets on both..NA and EU, so 4 sets).
I will play another game, we'll Role Play in that game. ATM it's DAI, and I'm setting up for an RP in Skyrim.
But aside from just playing another game.. or rather focusing on it, as I still log into ESO daily.
I've got my RP going in DAI, but I get my dailies in ESO, along with doing a housing build for a guild member.
And I think you're right.. running for fun with a social guild is vastly different than doing a PUG or even a targeted run of Trials or Dungeons.
I love Proc sets BTW, listening to Unfathomable Darkness quack... or seeing the swishy sword that is Morkuldin... or the rolly poly fabricant pop players or NPCs from Mad Tinkerers.
Are they BIS? Nope.. but my Nocturnal worshiping Warden doesn't care....it's funny.
Doing things that make you smile, will keep you in game longer.
As a friend always said " it's your game, play it your way".

I found that focusing almost entirely on my two characters and their emerging stories and experiences rather than achievements, grinding, farming, dailies and many other repetitive aspects has meant I have avoided burnout. With no routine to follow, playing at a slower pace, no real desire to participate in every event and no FOMO bothering me, the game still feels fresh and hugely appealing. I genuinely look forward to my (almost) daily trip to 2E Tamriel.

I just play other games or watch some stuff for a few weeks. I took an intentional break after the anniversary event so I wasn’t too burnt out for the new content. I still sign on my main once a day to do crafting and get the log in reward though.

0:46 There's enough to do in ESO, that you don't have to "just play a different game..." Just change up WHAT you do within ESO... Level up your crafting... Redesign your Housing... Level-up your Thieving and do heists... Start doing Black Sacraments for the Dark Brotherhood... I've been playing since 2013 and have not come close to running out of things to do...

I also started healing and tanking when I started getting bit bored of dps and wanted to try something new because I tanked and healed in some other games in the past so thought it would be fun. All 3 roles are very different in my experience and id say healer and tank are prty similar in many things where awareness and decision making is bit more present than in dps role, while mechanically less demanding. Mainly due to that id say healer is best suited for newer players that want to get into harder content in my opinion and I see very often people that dont rly perform as dps do prty decent job as healers or offtanks and is the most chill role. Maintank can be very tricky for harder stuff if you dont know mechanics inside out and also requires prty god button smashing in some fight while doing rly god damage in content and on dummy is rly based on fight knowledge and being rly god with buttons. Also trying out many different sets and classes and styles of play is very interesting and enjoyable. On the topic of getting burned out for me works best just stoping playing games as a whole for some time, it can be a week or a month, imo its just best to take breaks here and there than you get to enjoy it again .

I do not - I have kinda a hectic schedule for work and given that along with trying to maintain daily ESO vids I found it best to stick with joining a streamer buddy’s guild and allowing them to run it. Love helping out though!

99 out of a 100 "burnout" is when addiction and operant conditioning used in marketing for live services to make you play have a larger price than you are willing to pay. Let yourself miss out and do something that feels good. An old favorite of mine - Guild Wars has been around since 2005 and despite it going low-pop and running on initial purchase and some minor microtransactions, it's been around for like 19 years now. Considering how much of a cash-cow ESO is and how much content is piled into it I have no doubt it'll be around for a couple decades more.

I have burned out in ESO a few times
I don't have the answer. Best advice that I can give is to find what you love about the game, but only play when it feels good and don't play when it doesn't. Play something else or do something else
I've recently switched form damage to healing and been grinding rando dungeons. Healing has been a fun new challenge because to heal you have to look at encounters differently. And playing with randoms in random dungeons means we're not an optimized team. Level 23s running around, running away from the healing. A level 19 tank with 17k health, sure why not? I'll try to keep you alive while you stand in fire. I'm engaged most of the time, and if the DPS is lacking and nobody is taking damage I just drop my AOEs and hit that 1 damage spammable I have on my bar. I've been DPS for ages, it's all autopilot. But I'm a baby healer over here and I can't go on autopilot. And sure, I know most game mechs but now I'm engaging with mechs differently. I'm not watching the boss I'm watching the players. Something new, something refreshing

To add to this, Group Finder helped my burnout a lot. For a long while before GF launched, Craglorn was dead. I went from running 4-5 vHRCs or nRG/vRG per day. Could always pick up an nSS. Then things started slowing down and I went form running dozens of trials a week to 3 or 4 (if I was lucky). This is only talking about PUGs, not guild runs. When I didn't have groups to join and it started taking ages to put together a team, the game felt dead. I wasn't playing, I was coordinating or waiting
Group Finder made trials accessible to the casual players and I think that's great. Sure, it means that I'm explaining mechs in sweaty fights that shouldn't be sweaty, but getting more people to endgame and getting more people farming is good for the game. And once you teach that person, they know it. It isn't their fault that they don't know where to stand

    Step 1: Load up MW3.
Step 2: Lose a massive amount of games.
