Video Topic: I Power Washed For The First Time
We dumped the last of the pigs out of our Site 1 barn. So I decided to take on power washing this time around. In this one I show you guys the process of washing and what all goes into it.
This’ll Do Farm is a 6th generation family farm located in Southeast Iowa that is run by a father-son duo Tork and Sawyer. Sawyer is the force behind his family farm taking care of hog barns, along with farming the family’s acres. Sawyer promotes agriculture by recording his day-to-day life with his dad (Tork) on the farm. Both Tork and Sawyer have a burning desire to grow the farm bigger and bigger. Despite only being 20 years old, Sawyer has an old school work ethic with an innovative approach towards implementing agricultural technology and practices. Sawyer’s mission is to showcase agriculture in a positive light. And be one of the faces of agricultural education and innovation.

Power washing is how we weed out the weak ones!
They don’t come back next day? I worked at a 1k sow farrow to finish as a 13 yo into high school. The older senior employees never touched the washer. I’d like a dime for every hour i washed
It would have been nice to see some power washing !!! NOT LISTEN TO WHAT YOU MIGHT DO!!!!!!!!!!!
Bro I'm doing 1200 at 10.5 hours.
Hey I’m a new subscriber, I’m a hog farmer from NC I’m a grower as well those hog barns you guy have (winnisher) and new around here we have older buildings we pressure wash as well, now that I’ve seen you’re a grow/UA-camr is making me want to start my own channel and show people how hog farming in NC is.
How much do you pay to have your piggy farms washed when you don't do it yourself
I agree with you on the sausage pizza is better the bacon pizza 🍕
I do this every day bro. 1200 head space takes me about 11 hours going hard. Serious question though. I'm subcontracted out for each barn so my pay is 15 an hour. What should I really be getting paid for this? I'll subscribe and like this video if you give me an honest answer. Thanks.
$1,000 bucks a 2400 barn, $500 for a 1200 barn is how we do it.
@@thislldofarm Thanks for the answer.
Power washing is easy. But the SOAK is king. Period.
I always power wash with a peltor headset. No loud noices and FM radio. Only 60 Euro
Get yourself a washer 8gpm+
Get rid of the over head lines and buy 2-3 hundred foot of 1/2" double braid hose - you'll be money ahead in the long run not replacing tips and ceramic guts in the tip, and hose won't wear out as fast.
Get into a routine for every pen and you will be surprised how much faster you can go.
Install a 'dump valve' on your wand trigger so you don't have to hold the trigger closed, just close a valve and it's on, when you open the valve, pressure is off, and water is still flowing - and you save on pumps when youre not cycling the trigger all the time. This will require a new handle without a trigger.
"worktunes" ear muffs with blue tooth instead of the headphones
just a few tips ive learned from 10+ yrs of washing.
LUV me some Casey's ... here from BELOIT wisc (south Central Wisc
If you need your barns washed get ahold of hogwash power washing u can find us on Facebook we specialize in washing swine facility’s we r located in central ia and we would be more then happy to travel to southern ia for a customer
You got to separate your workload. To maintain my speed you give 6 hours maximum daily.
Don‘t you use any alkaline cleaner? And do you sanitize the barn after washing? Thats how we do it in Germany
Oh my god I never thought I’d find a video where I find someone who has the exact same problem as me with hoses while power washing 😂
sean funk I feel your pain brother I feel your pain 😂
@This’ll Do Farm: Lol the place I work there’s 3 people washing at a time 😂 i imagine washing a whole room by yourself is not fun! Oh and personally, Bacon Casey’s Breakfast Pizza > Sausage 😬
Our system wouldn’t accommodate the third washer, pressure got too weak.
It's hard pack. The solid you can't blow away but need soak
When starting a wash get your soakers going. Why didn't you mention?
thanks for this vid!:) Why do you guys transport your pigs in the middle of the night?
very very similar to how to we do it in southeastern nebraska! i always wash the slats first the gates the feeders the waters then i move pins and do the ceiling so i don’t get soaked lol. learned it the hard way!
I cant get thoes pizza thing because im from Denmark :(
What pressure do you use for the washing? What brand of pistol is it?
Y’all got a truck and trailer I’ll come drive it for ya c’mon
Except the fact we do not have reception in a barn. Total faraday cage. What you have coming in is what you have.
I just sing, nobody hears it over the noise
I broke one of my airpods by wearing it during chores. As soon as it fell out of my ear, a cow stepped directly on top of it. 🙄 RIP Airpods...
Jenna Myers 😂 damn I’m sorry that’s crazy. I bet you never wear them again during chores
Stand on the other side of the gate and wash the cups
I like getting a slice of each and eating them at the same time
Great work mate keep grinding
Who do you custom raise hogs for?
Great video thanks
Where are you from?
i didn't saw you power washing anything lmao
Katia Jaquez you must of not watched the whole video
Whats down those holes in the ground? You use soap or something for washing ?
I had the assumption you collected pig poop as fertilizer
Yup that’s exactly what that pit is used for 👍🏻
Awesome work!
