A good day for a change Olly.
Whilst driving an artic I had to cross a railway line to get to a farm. No gates but a phone, I was given the all clear, got back in the cab, just about to move when a freight train with numerous containers went past !!
Watching your spring working over the last few weeks, if UA-cam has helped you pay for that Quadtrac then the effort you put into doing them has been well rewarded. How much land do you think you would have got drilled without it? Been a fantastic machine to see in action. Seemed like an expensive toy when it arrived but its proved to be a key purchase.
That Quadtrac been worth every penny!!
You need some dual wheels for the Valtra while drilling. Wouldn't cut in anywhere near as much and much more grip

Hard to believe how mud gets on the rear window of the Quad trac, it's so big and far from implement 😮
The QT seems to be unstoppable and does allow you to do alot more than a wheeled version.

90% today. Dad has an appointment tomorrow with the Neurology Team for his Parkinson's and hopefully it will be followed shortly by a GP review of his medication. All being well the plan is to travel up to Scotland next month to see Sister and Brother in law to celebrate her birthday. 🤞. PS: Nettles/Brambles & Shorts are never a good combination. Been there, seen it, done it, still got the scars. 🤔😉.

I think the two tallest pylons in the country are either side of the Severn Estuary. You can see them quite well when you use the original Severn Bridge.

See a horn and radiator probably on the Valtra. I would say the 724 has the edge on the Valtra but I like both.

Oly just found the channel great to see how you guys do it over the pond, I’m here to the north of Seattle closer to Canada area so almost identical crops and rotations but bit sandier soil and not near the rain, at least this year. just one complaint though when it’s dirt and outside it’s called the ground and when it’s inside a building it’s the floor. Or is it different over the pond?

When I was a young kid I hated working under those really big pylons. They used to crackle all the time. They say if you stand under with a fluorescent tube in the dark it will glow with the static in the air. Would be an interesting thing to try on a hot day

Possibly but you need large acreage too. Also once you buy the quadtrac you then need to buy tillage equipment for it to be pulled by it.
