Chickadees are taking over! 😀 BTW, here are the two charities I donated to for the month of February: The Ocean Cleanup ▶ theoceancleanup.com/donate/ Nature Conservancy of Canada ▶ secure.natureconservancy.ca/site/Donation2?df_id=4285&mfc_pref=T&4285.donation=form1
They've been reported on the decline here in the PNW, it might be possible that they've started to relocate? If the Moose are like our Elk, they'll suck your feeders dry...
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that drones have changed the way that videos are filmed and create such beauty an at home enthusiast would have never been able to create before
Isn't just amazing what we can now see without a big budget TV company deciding for us. The Malibu shark guy has jaw dropping coverage. Of course thank you Stefano for uploading this inspiring video.
Thank you!! Your way of being, narrating, your nature shots, it all gives me a lot of peace and let's me reconnect to my heart. I'm currently in an exam time at university and I feel stressed, sleepless and not enough time outside. Thank you to let me enjoy a little through your lense. It helps. I'm studying forestry and you are an inspiration also to my future work.
Hope finals went well for you! I’m studying ecology and plant sciences so stuff like this really helps me too. Especially since we’re studying to be in nature and protect it it can be hard to maintain inspiration when studying itself forces us inside.
Honestly this is my favourite channel, Stefano may not post regularly but when he does it is an amazing video you can tell how much work he puts into his videos! Keep the great videos up Stefano! And Good Luck
Here in England we have a program called "Spring Watch" and it follows the life of wildlife in certain locations and certain species, I could absolutely imagine you doing this as an American version. You put together very engaging videos, get shots and story and a voice that isn't annoying, but smooth and calming. P.s I want a Chickadee, from the name to eating out of your hand to being so tiny they are awesome!
I know they're so cute! I live in Washington State, and I've noticed that they love water. There was a group of ~20 that would hop around and spash in the birdbath
I think it is a thanks for suggesting Springwatch. I am from Australia and just watched the first episode of 2020 on youtube. It actually bought a tear to my eye with it being about lockdown and the beauty in nature that people are experiencing. Very emotional!!!
Look out for spring watch presenter Chris Packham also a phototographer. We have winter watch and autumn watch too, but not a lot in the way of snow! Excellent video as always ❤
I love all the little details, and fun (sarcastic at times) voice-overs. I’m pretty new to your channel and found it not to long ago today, so I’m excited to see/watch your journey up to now. 6:05 NUTHATCH! Lol, got me a good laugh there. The fact you can ‘hand feed’ birds like that (7:12) just amazes me. You montage of the Pine Grosbeaks at 9:41-10:02 was super cool; I honestly could watch compilations of bird footage with you talking over it for the duration of my weekend(s). Your editing style and voice go super well together too (I’m a person who usually uses subtitles, but I found that you are really easy to understand. It’s also always nice to have the option for subtitles too✨).
Awesome video the patience was definitely worth it for those stunning grosbeaks, excited to see how to populations of species change at the feeders throughout the year especially with spring migration coming soon!
@@TheWildlifeHomestead ooh looks like a great forest to live in, got room for one more hahaha. You should definitely make a video recording all the spring migrants that come through this year would be cool to see who comes through and during which months
Can you make a video showing people how you stay safe from bears or other predators or just general safety about weather/snow/storms. Would be cool to see how you stay safe and what to watch for when you're out there.
I adore chikadees, living in an urban area they are mostly what's around in winter. Watching them eat out of your hand made my day. If there wasn't neighbourhood cats around I'd be giving the feeders a try. You are very inspiring with your videos, very well made and heartwarming. Thank you for sharing
So wonderful to see you again. Your homestead is very beautiful and I am sure quite peaceful. I'm looking forward to the coming seasons and your new projects! Thank you
As someone who grew up appreciating and watching wildlife documentaries. Your series about bringing wildlife back, and further assisting ecosystems, has been an utter delight. This little slice of nature is a wonderful respite from all the bad in the world. Thank you for taking the time to create a video and share this journey on a wildlife homestead.
I found your videos a couple of weeks ago and I just love them. I know they're kind of basic, but Chickadees have always been my favorite birds. When I was a little girl I would spend hours watching them wishing I could have one for a pet. There's just something about them that I love...probably because they're small and round and adorable. 💕
I think it's kinda cute that you named sparrow after his favorite meal🤣 Great Video. I especially liked these professional longshots of your fascinating landscape. I'm so relieved that there are still those people who are the same kind of nature enthusiasts like me! Just can't wait for the next update.
Nature has its own pace, and we really don't have much control over most things in life. It's been interesting learning the ups and downs of this season. I am glad your plan worked at last. Thank you for sharing these beautiful mini documentaries, it's educational and entertaining at the same time. I love the narration and the editing. Well done! Can't wait for the pond project to begin.
I wanted to express my appreciation for the amazing videos you create. Your content is always captivating and well-crafted. I eagerly anticipate your next video and can hardly wait to see what you have in store for us. As a viewer from Pakistan🇵🇰, I have been following your work for a while now, and I must say that your dedication to your craft is truly inspiring. Your videos are a testament to your hard work and talent, and I am grateful for the joy and entertainment they bring to my life. Was waiting for this update and was excited to find out it was in my feed this morning. How exciting to see the new species and the first winter at the property. Nature is truly amazing. Keep up the good work and videos
Wow. Could have watched another hour of this and I'm serious. Thank you for being such a thoughtful land owner. Pass on the vibes... and the wisdom. Props.
Beautiful darling boy..I'm from OZ Australia 🇦🇺 🌏 we don't get snow, well in a very small area of the country, not much to speak of, so watching the birds in the snow is new to me. I love them. Thank you..ohh Beautiful cinematic presentation....
Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always, I been having such a great time here in long Island NY, I seen so many awesome birds including bold eagles but I can't wait to go back to Montreal 🐦🦅❤️🤗
Can I just say how grateful I am for your subtitles? English is not my native language and I also already have some issues with processing what I hear sometimes, so they’re a huge help when I don’t understand something. Not to mention folks hard of hearing. So thank you! 😊
Happy to hear! I go through every video and try to edit UA-cam's auto-generated subtitles as best as I can. They don't do too well with auto-generating bird names. For example, Pine Grosbeak was auto-translated to "Pine Grow Speaks" and "Pine Growth Beaks" which I can imagine would be annoying to anyone reading subtitles haha
Thank you so much for your beautiful videos! I'm just in awe watching this and the way you shoot the videos and narrate them is so calming to me :) Watching this makes me fall in love with nature over and over again so keep up the good work and I can't wait to see where you take things in the spring! :D
So much beauty and ideas!!! So much wonder to appreciate. Thank You for Sharing. When I put my bird feeder stations out I use multi colored acrylic squirrel baffles not to keep them out as much as a way to keep the food dry and the birds can hang out even on a rainy or snowy day. I placed them a little higher over each feeding station and put a solar light in it so it glows in the dark for the flying squirrels (the are the cutest things). I use to live in the woods in a cabin and I can't wait to move back there again. Enjoy and be safe and a BIG HELLO to Sparrow from my 3 cats Charlotte, George and Samantha. God's Blessings
Hey Stefano, the video of the moose on the trail at night. If you change the angle a little you won't get so much flare up off the snow and the moose would be seen more clearly.
