Congratulations on the second draft in the bag! Ain't it cool how revisions can sort of... uncover depth in a story? Sometimes it feels like digging up dinosaur bones, that sort of careful discovery that is so exciting.
I can’t waiiiiit till I can do this revision part of my manuscript that is still in my mind 🤣😂 I also enjoy when my stories emotionally charge me. It’s such a great feeling.
I know what you mean about not reading anything that gets in your head too much. I can't read historical fiction or anything written more than 50 years ago or so because my prose suddenly comes out sounding too formal.
