- SketchAR is an application through which the user sees a virtual image on the surface of which they are planning to trace a sketch. In one hand, the user holds a phone and sees a virtual image, while the other hand traces virtual lines already on the paper.

SketchAR is useful to all those who have always wanted, but could not draw. Also, the app is helpful for professional artists, as a simple and convenient way to trace sketches to a desired surface (eg, canvas)

I think there is a difference between copying (or tracing) an image that already exists and recording your observations of life by making marks on paper (which is a definition of drawing)? Did you ever wonder why Picasso never used a projector?
We graduated from art academy. That's why we know all about art. Do you know that is the first assignment when you start to learn to draw in any art academy? Copying a masterpiece of famous artists. You need to understand what is the best line and practice, practice and practice. Please look out of the box and use any tools you think help you grow.

Who wants to hold their phone the entire time? Need some kind of mount at least. Plus looking through the tiny screen would cause eye strain and fatigue over time. The HoloLens version of this is the way to go. The phone version just seems gimmicky. Awesome app and tech however.
You can use some holder:) But version of the app for smartphone is just to show what AR is. Not everybody know

SketchAR works for all Androids. The Tango-devaices you only need to paint on a wall or any big surfaces.

SketchAR 1. Its tracing, that doesn't really help to enhance a skill, 2.the other reason I dislike it is because some 10 year old would say that he drew this with no help ( boosting there ego,my point earlier) ,3. Do what u want its not my life 😀

SketchAR OK I respect u and don't hate your app i hate people who take advantage of your app but this is just my opinion, when I do art I don't need memory I draw what ever I want ,I use references but that is different from copying , I agree with practice practice practice, but you won't need this app to practice, just try everyday and that's how I practice, I understand u trying to promote your app so in sorry for getting in your way, best of luck in your app😊😊
People have been tracing for decades with projectors and lightboxes. A trace is just a line drawing. The real skill is shading it to look realistic and stylized.
