Also what do you mean in the caption of your video that says "or even better ERP techniques" ?? What is a better technique for intrusive thoughts than ignoring them? Please let me know I'm really anxious
Ignoring them is only so helpful because it still teaches your brain that it's something you're scared of. The truth is you should be accepting that they are there and doing nothing to respond to it. Not even ignoring it because ignoring it is still a response. Next time you get an intrusive thought respond like this. 1. Acknowledge it is intrusive and not aligned to your values. 2. Accept that it is there and do nothing to push it away. Let it be there. (this does not mean accepting that it is true, just that it is there) 3. Do what you want to do regardless of your feelings. Accepting is hard because it is scary but it teaches your brain that this thought is not important. This will lower the anxiety first then the thoughts themselves will disappear. It's important to note that you WILL get used to the anxiety before the thoughts go away. This can be a stumbling block for many. Continue accepting and disregarding.
Hi yes …I need the ERP section by online….
Thank you always Danielle!! Always excited to see new content from you :)
Thanks…a lot more to come!
@@MyOCDCoach ahh can't wait!😍🙌🏼
So the ERP method for intrusive thoughts is to not pay attention to them and continue with your day??
That’s one way to do it.
It doesn't help. Mine is too inappropriate and I rather not ignore it like it will go away. It almost never does when I try to.
TQ so much..

@@samgillespie5912 Hope you're reading this cause I really need your help. Does this apply to sexual intrusive thoughts as well?
Do you take insurance?
I am unable to do so, but I have payment plans and a very cost effective membership program called The Path.

Hey i have a question if you don't mind. Are intrusive thoughts from the subconscious mind?
They can start in the unconscious, but we address it consciously which shifts the unconscious.
