Fallout Factory recommended maintenance and they give you no trouble at all Ignore them, and you are just asking for trouble. They are fabulous cars fun to drive and rarely lose money as a collector vehicle if you choose wisely. I have owned several and was pleased with all of them.
@@billsavard620 That wasn't my experience and both of mine were flawlessly maintained by certified master techs. Both were made in Germany and both arrived with factory defects. I knew the dealer's service manager and he said that mine were not unique in that regard. It was a master tech who said that, if I wanted reliability, I should buy Lexus "beautifully made". I did and he was right. I'll never touch any German auto product again.

They were beautiful but, in my experience, the words "Mercedes" and "reliable" don't belong in the same sentence.

Everything after the mid 80s I agree but before it was the most reliable car you could buy.
