- How can I move my Blink (Blink XT) system to a new location or new WiFi network? What do you have to do, if you move to a new location with a new internet service provider (ISP) with a new router or you just add or switch the router? It's not super straight forward. With other systems you just re-connect your cameras by adding as 'new camera', but not with Blink (XT). Here you have to clock on the communication icon on the left bottom and then go from there. For details check out the video. Hope it helps.

Because of your thoroughness, I saved my sanity. It's the simple things (router band width, cellphone being in wifi mode etc) that can derail the best of efforts. Thank you.
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
I just installed it pretty easily and look at that picture !
Thank you for the tips
Any time
This very interesting ☺️
Thanks and greets to Bikini Bottom ;-)
Thank you to mention that it works only with 2g wi-Fi.
You're very welcome my friend! 👍
My internet system was off, after reconnect Internet I been trying and trying and nothing. I don’t know if from the beginning we connected blink camera to 5G internet. Now I have only 2g but is impossible after choose 2G all and wait the module light is red 😩😩😩
Please I need help ASAP
Do I have to purchase another modulo?
Thanks in advance
@@mariesmarie7101 Really difficult to give advise from here without knowing anything and it's very long ago ... so sorry. Have you tried to reach out to the support? 2G WiFi should definitely work for BLINK
Thank u
Welcome
Well, I tried everything multiple times and it will not move to a new WiFi. It is a dumb device.
Yeah they made it somehow complicated. Maybe you have the new versions and they changed the software in the meantime I think ....
Well done video - Thanks! My questions remaining are...
1. Is this system uniquely password protected; can you create a unique password (not some "default" password)?
2. Is the WiFi router WEP security code (obviously needed to set up camera and/or synch box) communicated or stored in ANY WAY by the parent company?
3. Can I privately share (write down) my password so that a family member in another town can view the system?
All very good questions, but I can't answer, but I heard that the Blink XT cameras can be accesses by multiple (APP) clients
@@allcheckout Thanks. Sadly, it turns out that these cameras (which I received today) have a VERY BAD OVERKILL of signin security, requiring the account owner to check their email for a 2-step verifcation code at each signin. This is not an option and not something that can be disabled by the owner. So now it becomes impractical to allow family, neighbors, or police to monitor things if you are traveling -- unless you give them your personal email login and password. The company did not think this through. I am returning mine because of this ridiculousness.
@@AerialLensVideo Most of the other similar cameras which I've tested (e.g. this one which I really like: amzn.to/3fcvj5c) have such sharing options, but most don't come with free cloud :-((
So if I want to set it up at a new location with a new wifi network, I first have to use a toothpick to reset it and then set it all up from there? thats it ?
Sorry .... old video ... can't remember. If you have same Blink version then it should work as described in the video ;-)))
Hello all! I have found a way to get my blink to connect to my WiFi without having to the extra of turning off my 5ghz bandwidth and leaving on the 2.4, so what I did is (I have xfinity internet) so I went into my xfinity app I went to my WiFi router settings and on there I can see everything that is connected to my modem, and on there I saw the blink module device, I clicked add to household and when I went back to the blink app to try to connect it again (after trying so many damn times!) the module connected! I hope this helps! Sorry for the long paragraph :(
What???
@@leahpearson2181 pretty straightforward in my directions lol
Unfortunately no luck with this guide either... In my case the sync module turns off while the blink app tries to communicate with the blink servers. After a minute I get a message that it couldn't communicate with the blink servers and the sync module stays turned off until either I unplug and plug it back to the power supply or hit the sync module reset button. Any ideas , please?
Is it same version of maybe you have the never version?
@@allcheckout Hi mate, model: BSM01203U
@@georgios9384 Oh - I don't remember my model type but it's the 'original' XT. Maybe you have the XT2 or the new "Blink Outdoor"?
You fix this problem?
Yes I fixed it. I followed the blink customer support instructions.
How do I transfer to new phone if I forget password?
Isn't there a button saying "I forgot my password"?
Same thing happened to me I'm trying to figure it out crap
I got a new Wifi called fiber for the shop and now my cameras don’t work. Any suggestions ?
I try to connect to the blink wifi and says no internet connection.
Maybe reset your cam will work? Just an assumption ....
@@allcheckout it was actually a button that had to be switched on before it would re link to my wifi . But thank you
@@MADLENGTHSPRO A button on the router?
@@allcheckout actually , on my phone . As I was trying to link my cameras on the blink app to my new wifi , nothing would show up. It kept saying “failed to connect” I called blink and finally got a rep and he said a button in my settings on my phone was the issue . It was “local networks” and I switched it on. And literally all of my wifi names came up including my new one . Everything link fine now. Of course it was one button. Lol .. my advice , if you ever have a problem just keep calling blink customer service number and someone will eventually answer lol
