Had this problem then I watched and thought I was screwed so I decided to call the support help and he walked me through it all and now I back up and running. Reset router 3 minutes Reset cam Unplugged module hold reset 30 seconds plugged back in while continuing holding the reset and all is well. Hope it helps
I have tried everything, no way I unplugged my router obviously reset it 1000 times and made the password literally the easiest tried everything. This system pissin me off
@lambertainment9618 I just got mine working after hours of resetting and unplugging. I put the module in sync mode (blue flashing light), then connected to it outside of the app, just in my WiFi settings like I would connect to my router, then opened the blink WiFi settings and changed the MAC type from random MAC to phone MAC. Then went into the app and the set up just worked first time, hope this helps.
Loved your video!! Very concise and to the point. I did learn that the extra tool is really not needed because I was at that point too. The real issue is that you must use the same network that your phone or device is on for the network you are trying to connect the Sync Module to. They can't be on different networks or it will say "incorrect password". It won't tell you that you must be on the same network, that's too convenient. So, no need for any extra tools.
I have had my blink system for a couple of years now and I am aware of cellphone having to be connected the same wifi network that you want to connect the sync module to. My sync module suddenly no longer has the ability to acknowledge a correct PW ─ seems that the only fix is to get another sync module as I have tried many fixes including deleting and re-adding the sync module. At this point it seems appropriate to use the hammer method. Oh my bad ─ I didn't delete the cameras first!
Exactly what happened to me. I thought I was going crazy with the wrong password message. After watching this video I bought a brand new sync module 2 and everything works.🎉
I am having this issue currently 4/10/24 - Spectrum is my internet provider and I recently upgraded equipment specifically my router. This being the case of course any stored history on my old router would have been on this has now been deleted or destroyed in the updated new router. With this being said as a result now my Blink system is failing. I have tried everything in this forum BUT what you mentioned about " I was instructed to unplug the sync module, using the paper clip push and hold the reset button while plugging the sync module back into power." - if this works.. you're a life saver and certainly appreciated. I will update with my results later to see if this updated firmware and got my sync module to connect.
I was instructed to unplug the sync module, using the paper clip push and hold the reset button while plugging the sync module back into power." Thanks my friend .....
I had the same problem. It wouldn't recognize my password that I've used for years. I ended up doing this: 1. Deleted Sync Module from the app 2. Created new System on the app 3. Re-Added each camera 4. Worked perfectly after that.
I thought the sync module died, I bought a new one. The same crap happens with the new module. I thought it was the router. I bought a new router. The same crap happens. This sync module sucks.
This tracks because mine won't reset wifi and I've tried everything. When I emailed me they suggested the same things I already did. Then when I let them know it didn't work and I tried those, they sent me the exact same email, so I was, like I said this didn't work, so they sent me the same email AGAIN a third time, exactly the same. I guess your solution is the one i need.
Hahaha poor guy,, I had the same problem and the problem is not the device it was my internet. Let me explain the password was correct my computer and cellphone was working properly but when I check the speed of the WiFi I only have 13 % of the speed that I suppose to get so my internet representative send someone to fix my internet and my cámaras are now working properly.
Mine is doing the exact same thing... "wrong wifi password" -- when I KNOW it's right, I'm using it on 4 other devices.. So I know the password is right. Blink is trazh

Hope this comment can help more people 👍
Im on the same network and it still wont connect. I might need the hammer.

I have the same problem. Going to post on social media. They are scamming people

I'm also having this issue since switching over to Spectrum internet. 8/11/2024. Have you found a solution?
Thanks, I did and its works!! 100!! You saved my time!
remember before of you decide to delete your sync module make sure don't forget to delete the cameras beforehand that's how they make money of you.😊
Thank you so much for advising me of what I didn't do right... LOL
Too late, I've already deleted it bfore deleting the cameras. So what does that mean? Will I have to buy a new sync module?
Funny chief. Never give up never give in😂
I feel your pain brother, I feel you pain! I may use a bigger hammer! 🤣
Now that was a relief I don't have to get out my hammer. Thank you
This approach has worked for me on many occasions, thanks.👍
I loved the reset, it solves the issue instantly!
After an hour of fucking with this thing I’m about to do the same😂
Thank you, havent try it yet but Im sure its going to work after your instructions.
Don't think it would work either way.....lol
Good job! I’m thinking of doing your hard reset system, thanks
Thanks for your detailed advice, sorted!!
I had the same problem. It wouldn't recognize my password that I've used for years. I ended up doing this:
1. Deleted Sync Module from the app
2. Created new System on the app

Same here. It gets so hot that it turns off by itself, and it overheat
Definitely something wrong, mine is plugged in months on end and doesn’t overheat. But yeah, these are not the best camera systems 🤷♂️
Great it works 😂
I thought the sync module died, I bought a new one. The same crap happens with the new module. I thought it was the router. I bought a new router. The same crap happens. This sync module sucks.
Wow , that’s weird.
I feel sorry for you. I haven’t had any problems since getting the new one .
So funny but I know how you felt
I don’t get how this helps. I literally did exactly what you did and it does not help.
This tracks because mine won't reset wifi and I've tried everything. When I emailed me they suggested the same things I already did. Same here
I’d give two thumbs up if I could…
I deleted my module and all my cameras don't work now sadly. What do I do?
Try and delete the app. Then reinstall and try and add the sync module again. If you have outdoor cameras you definitely need a working sync module
@@samedifferenceportugal thanks
Should I buy another module? this is an update i ended up buying a new module but I'll have to buy a new phone also as it will send me a text to
That’s what I ended up doing unfortunately
That’s what I ended up doing unfortunately
Mines say....MANIFEST STALE PLEASE REQUEST on my 1st sync module
Done all kind of resets possible , obviously gave up and got a new one which is working perfectly
Mine has done the same thing!!! I have factory reset it by throwing it from a high rise tower block 😂
Amazon Blink cameras are crap!!!
🤣
I have WiFi 6 - it won't connect. Thanks Blink. I reset as you suggested.......
They cost so much and they’re always disconnecting or not working when you need to record something
They are hit and miss, yes .
lmao I am absolutely at this point with the stupid sync module too

Exactly what i want to do to mine right now 😅😂 how about just call customer service? Lol
👍🏼👍🏼
I think you may be right.
I was thinking the same thing lol.
Dude, you didn't help me at all😟
Mine is doing the exact same thing... "wrong wifi password" -- when I KNOW it's right, I'm using it on 4 other devices.. So I know the password is right. Blink is trazh
Hahaha , love it
I know how you feel :)
