They quit selling, and tighter EPA standards gave them even less incentive to put the time and effort into offering a powertrain that maybe 1 or 2 percent of buyers actually want. They are fading out in big trucks also. Most company fleet trucks have some type of auto shifting gearbox in them now to make the trucks more idiot proof.
Rather than spend 45 minutes watching this, I'll sum it up: Next to an endlessly confused 68rfe, the manual is a great alternative.
