Here is another restoration of an old smith & wesson revolver. This revolver was referred to as the "lemon squeezer" due to its action and trigger pull. This model is the safety hammerless chambered in .32 S&W short. Of course if you know our channel we always test fire our firearms. There are alot of awesome projects coming up for the holidays. I hope you enjoy the video and consider subscribing for more restorations. AS ALWAYS THANKS FOR WATCHING!

have one identical to this, believe the last patent date on mine was october 4th 1885. Belonged to my grandfather. He paid 12 dollars for it. He broke a set. There were two with consecutive serial numbers. One had counterclockwise rotation and the other had clockwise rotation. There were only 25 of these sets made and he broke one of them. Said he did not trust the right hand wheeler because it turned the wrong way. He gifted it to me when I was 19. i am now 70.
Wow that is amazing! Thanks for the story and for watching!
Excelente Restauración S&W Revolver 38 Military 🪖 44Magnum
I’ve got one in 32 short also. It was my Grandfather’s. Good pocket gun. Small and light.
It's amazing what people were able to design and manufacture 115 years ago.
Yes it is, brilliant people!
Stool looks good, ready for another lifetime . . . . and sturdy too 👍😃
Thank you, you got that right! Thanks for watching
That is truly, impressive! Very nice work!
Don Blake
Thank you very much Don we appreciate it!
I appreciate the effort to restore all these wonderful antiques...great job as usual.
Thanks Kevin we appreciate it!
Bringing back these firearms is truly amazing. Some of them look like something that should be thrown out but then you guys do your magic and boom on the range test firing. Great work, fellas.
Thank you we appreciate the kind words, thanks for watching!
love seein these old girls back in service
Me too, thanks for watching!
Always great to watch these restorations. The skill and care is mesmerizing, plus those magic finger-snaps are so very powerful.
Thank you we appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching
Finally. Someone who actually test fires a gun after restoration. Unlike other videos
Absolutely, we always try! Thanks for watching
Excellent restoration. This little S&W is a real beauty
Thank you very much, yes it is. Thanks for watching
Springfield! Homer Simpson's long lost Revolver. 😉
Haha right! Thanks for watching
Looks like the Schofield from red dead 2. Great weapon.
Ya for sure, thanks for watching!
Gotta love this metallic ringing at 10:48!
I love how these 19th century firearms are always in a better condition than 20th century firearms
Well of course, any 19th century firearm is either well cared for and preserved or back to being iron ore.
Absolutely, thanks for watching!
For old gun that is powerful
I have the nickel version that belonged to my grandfather. Works perfectly except for the safety grip. Enjoyed your vid.
Very cool, thanks we appreciate it!
For 1908 that trigger housing engineering is superb.
Ya its impressive, thanks for watching we appreciate it!
Was designed in 1885
This would be the perfect revolver for self defense for me!
Ya it would be an ok everyday carry. Thanks for watching
You can find ‘em in pretty decent condition on Gunbroker for about $150 if you got keen eyes! Just make sure you grab one that’s stamped “CTGE” after .38S&W on the side so you get one that doesn’t fire black powder.
I love all your videos, they're amazing and you're a true craftsman. I get nervous when you don't check to see if the weapon is loaded though 🤯
Thank you very much for the kind words and for the support! We always check if they are loaded, we just don't have them all on camera. Thanks for watching
You have come so far in restoring these firearms, they look great now.
Thanks we appreciate you!
Thank you!
I couldn't figure out how the cylinder came off of my Model 2. This was helpful.
Glad it helped, thanks for watching!
The surface refinishing looks amazing! 😊
Thank you we appreciate it!
Another great resto. I picked one of those up at a garage sale years ago for $20.00. It's a good little shooter. Great video, liked it much!
Thanks we appreciate it, that is a great deal! Thanks for watching!
Very attractive little gun. Would hold up today on the pocket pistol market. Very good job!
Ya I like it, yes it would. Thanks for watching!
That came out looking great!
Thanks we appreciate it!
Thanks for making these amazing videos that are real
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching we appreciate it!
That rust remover is amazing. Really helps you do a great job of restoring.
Yes it is, thank you for watching we appreciate it!
another artificially pre-rusted gun, still cool to watch
@@MikeSmith-ny1urThese are pretty easy to find in this condition for real cheap. I don’t see any reason for this to be artificial. I just picked up one of these that’s in nearly identical condition for $50.
I'm amazed all those springs survived!
Ya, we got lucky on this one. Thanks for watching!
your videos are really good, keep it up!
Thanks we appreciate it, will do! Thanks for watching
While your refits of modern automatics is good, I really love it when you fix up those classic American revolvers!
Most of the guns are similar in age but, I know what your saying. Thank you we appreciate it, thanks for watching!

Always a nice job ! My only regret is not having well understood the trigger system. I mean, we did see it well, but it might have been interesting to add a sequence to show the moving mechanism. But it was satisfying to watch anyway. 👍
Thanks, ya I had a clip of it and I cut it! Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
It would be nice, but better not irritate the UA-cam gods and get banished.
Awesome restoration!! I’d love to see smith and wesson make a classic model and rerelease this little revolver. I would be first in line
Thanks, ya that would be awesome! Thanks for watching
Few people know how your skillful hands hurt... Good health to you! 👐
Ya for sure, thanks we appreciate it! You too
That's the caliber that killed King Umberto I of Italy. (1900). Also U.S. President McKinley (1901).
32 long. for Garfield.
Interesting, thanks for watching!
@@allenschmitz9644 .32 : mean little thing (Adolf Hitler .32 ACP, 1945)
Cool pistol
Ya I like it, thanks for watching
Wonderful restoration...ukw next video should be all the firearm you restored ..how their condition is and test firing
Thanks Abin we appreciate it, that's a good idea! Thanks for watching as always
I have an Iver Johnson that is very similar. Inherited from my father.
Very cool, great little revolvers. Thanks for watching!
hello, awesome restoration. But i would like to say that these type revolvers where not blued. The best is to polish them using sand paper or sponge. 500 grit then 800 then 1000 and if you can move to 2000
Thanks for the advice, we appreciate it!
Some of them were blued. I have a Harrington & Richardson hammerless that’s in great shape and it’s blued.
@@Sanguivore oh ok never seen one that's blued
C O O L !!!
Thanks!
You should use a hammer handle or large screwdriver handle and tap the opposite side of the frame lightly to remove grips or side plates
Thanks for the advice and for watching!
I was glad to see this video I have 2 similar weapons I’ve been thinking about messaging you about. A 41 US Arms and 38 Iver Johnson both in .38 cal.
Happy to help, thanks for watching!
This is the second video I've watched from you. You do a great job. I like to restore also, but I just can't seem to find these old rusties anymore. I just subscribed also so I'll catch up on some of your other vids now.
Thank you we appreciate you! I hope you find something to restore soon! Thanks for watching
Sir oustanding job.
Thanks we appreciate it!
Impressive- Very nice Job- Your vids are always a pleasure! - ( I'm retired Now, but I do miss haveing Acess to a fully equipped Shop )-
Thank you very much, ya it's handy. Thanks for watching!
nice!
Thanks!
The way I was taught to remove grips. Is to remove the screws, then tap on the steel with the wood handle of a screwdriver.
Thanks for the tip and for watching!
I enjoy all of your videos. I am just wondering how you dispose of your caustic bluing solution?
Thanks we appreciate it, we get rid of it by neutralizing it. Check out brownells if you want to know how. Thanks for watching
👍 Nice! I was surprised you put it in the rustoleum with the grips on, I would've thought it might damage them. but then again i've never used it so am clueless
It is evaporust and it is pretty safe! Thanks for watching we appreciate it!
Small detail, you did not disassemble the top latch so acid can be stuck in there
I think I did but, you could be right! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Hello, another great job.funny little gun and beautifull result....thanks.....and the luger p08, have you fond it?
Thank you, yes it is. No I haven't yet! Thanks for watching
1000 times better
Thanks we appreciate it!
👍👍👍
Thanks
What do you do with the blueing solution after you use it? Can it be reused or does it need to be disposed of?
I neutralize it and dispose it but, you could use it more than once if you wanted to. Thanks for watching
Wow❤
Thanks!
I have that same model it was my great grandfather's and I can't find anybody willing to work on it to get it back in operation
That is very unfortunate, email me at austin.kinzler.1@outlook.com if you are interested! Thanks for watching
👌
Thanks
How did that Mouse Milk oil work out?
Any difference or improvement or do you find everything pretty much the same?
They are all very similar, it worked great, thanks for watching!
