Mayonnaise for lice😂. I used that in my daughter’s hair a couple of times when she got lice from school.
Awesome video❤
Txs Steph for the coconut info. Didn't know the shavings were full of saturated fat!! 💗
CORRECTION: There are not 17 grams of fat in 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. In fact, there are 16 grams in 2 tablespoons.
I do try to avoid coconut milk and when I use it I always use the lighter version but still bad, I know. But I love Thai curries! And tiramisu. I could eat tiramisu everyday but limit it to twice a year.
Such a bummer because so many delicious dishes made with coconut milk.
Barley has gluten for the folks that need to avoid it. Of course, they probably already know this.
I use soy milk instead of coconut milk and add a few drops of Goodmans coconut flavor. I Love curries and this is my replacement for the coconut milk with so much fat.
I love tiramisu too and had to replace the creamy layer with mashed bananas with soy milk and shredded coconut sprinkled on top, but it still tastes good.
@@LivingHealthyAndHavingFun good idea, I'll give it a try.
@@m.taylor yep, after I posted my comment, I looked for alternative recipes and found several. Can't wait to try them.
I eat 4 out 5 regularly (weekly), as a non diabetic. The 5 Bs for this RDN.
Thank, very informative information.
Coconut oil is used in tropical countries as a pomade to style men's hair so they stay put and don't change when blown by the wind. Women use them as a hair conditioner after shampooing their hair, to prevent split ends. Seniors use the for whole body massage by mixing with some aromatic plants to create aromatic oil.
Please come to The Gold Coast in Queensland !

Chuck, yes, I'm72, my mother and grandmother said they used mayo for hair, shine and conditioning.
If blueberries are cooked do you still get the Beni’s?
Dr. Goldners protocols recommend flax/chia and good amount daily. She heals type 2 diabetes on the protocol.
How much of each does she recommend? Do you need to grind both?
@user-kh1cb3kq8z 1/4 to 1/2 cup in a smoothie I believe. I personally only do a few tablespoons
Great topic!
The letter of the day is ... B
and the number of the day is ... (guess) ;)
Broccoli. How about broccoli sprouts and other cruciferous vegetables? Did she just mention broccoli to make it simple?…. or is there really a difference between cruciferous veg
To my knowledge, sulforafen is only found in broccoli.
I have celiac disease, is either kodo or foxtail millet a good substitute for barley? I currently eat oat groats, teff, quinoa, and brown rice regularly, and occasionally (a tad less than once per week) amaranth and sorghum. My A1C is higher than it was when I was younger and I'd like to stop the increase before I become pre-diabetic for the third time.
Yes I have heard of mayonnaise in the hair
Yes I heard that about mayo on your hair!
Many years ago, my older sister convinced me to do a "mayo hair mask". It was Thanksgiving day and we were at my grandmother's house. I was about 10 or 12 years old maybe. She snuck a jar of mayo from my grandmother's pantry and soaked my hair in it. I remember wanting to throw up from the smell. I tried to wash it out in the shower, but no matter how many times I shampooed my hair, the smell stuck to it. It was absolutely awful. Of course, my sister had promised me "if you do it first, I'll do it after" (she was really good at convincing me to do things based on this premise, even though I eventually realized she NEVER did anything after turning me into her test dummy... there are so many awful things I let her convince me to do and she would never follow through on her end of it). Anyway, it took about 10 days of hair washing for all of the smell to completely come out. It was disgusting. Never again...

Is “pearled barley” less nutritious than plain barley?
Is baked beans ok
Yes mayo is good for hair conditioning the eggs contain protein old remedy
🎉🎉🎉
So much of what you preach flies in the face of current research and my own life dietary experience and blood work.
At 14 minutes in, the ribbon says 5 foods that RAISE A1c. Bell Peppers?
Where do bananas fit in? I hear different opinions
Crazy commentary from lala land.
Broccoli sprouts better for you than full grown broccoli.
❤🫐🫘🫑🥦🍞❤🤗
Love animals; don't eat them!
Good to know that water gets a thumbs up .really a tablespoon of chia seeds ,what about protein, how will you even get enough with the measurements she talks about.starting to think these people are zealots.
These first 5 are foods to include in diversive diet. Check out Daily Dozen by Dr. Michael Greger.
All these foods are not naturally occuring in my tropical environment and should not be suggested or superimposed😂. Eat healthy of naturally occuring foods growing naturally in your own environment.
When watch football!
I disagree about coconut, our Creator made coconut for our enjoyment to eat, so it can’t be harmful. And yes, my mom did used to say that about the mayonnaise on the hair because of the oils.
Creator made wine too 🥂
Wow everything i heard is wrong! I have had type 2 for 25 years. I am now 83. I even became a vegan but could not control mine. On the 22nd of March 2024, I decided to become a carnivore. My A1c was 8.4. I eliminated all carbohydrates. I only eat ribeye steak sometimes a little salmon or little lamb. Lots and lots and lots of butter and eggs. I only eat eggs four or six of them and lots of butter at 10 o'clock and my ribeye steak or salmon or lamb at 2 o'clock in nine weeks, my A1c dropped to 5.5 I no longer had a high blood pressure, and vow never to eat another carb in my lifetime. You need to get reeducated by Dr Anthony Chaffee a neurosurgeon from Australia the more fat and proteins without carbs is the way mankind has eaten for many many many thousands of years even the Indians in Alaska don't eat carbs you never hear a heart attack, strokes or diabetes in their communities
lol - diabetes is too much glucose in the blood yet you recommend starches which are sugars :)
#1 Bad one is meat, the food with no glucose :)
5+ Years carnivore and loving it, still waiting for my diabetes.
Eat Meat, Not Too Little, Mostly Fat
Did you ever do a OGTT?
@@marvingiehl Not yet, I have not seen a doctor in 5 years since all my health problems were fixed in 2019.
I do have a Freestyle Libre 2 sensor and plan to put it on next week, after 3 days of cheat carbs I will be doing a home ogtt myself.
I will be checking my blood sugar while fasting and on various meat meals and I will be doing 3 days of fruit, chocolate and hard cider to see what happens with cheat foods that I sometimes have.
I did read that it is recommended to take 3 days of at least 150g carbs each day before the ogtt to wake up the pancreas so I will be doing that.
Over Christmas I had about a week of sugary desserts and chocolate and that was alot of sugar so I very much doubt we will see anything substantial in the way of sugar intolerance :)
BS on this whole video…I’ll go enjoy my steak. Typical RD Beans wreck my gut
If beans wreck your gut, your gut may be pretty wrecked to begin with. Ultimately, a varied high fiber diet heals the microbiome and the mucosal layer in your gut. But one has to introduce these food gradually.
People can & should eat what they want, however, they should NOT expect the health care profession to cure the massive number of diseases associated with high fat diets without altering their fat intake.
As a Dr. said to me "If you look at food it will raise your glucose" He is right. There is not ONE food that will NOT raise my glucose. What a roller coaster ride I have been on. If only I knew then what I know now. Beans - any kind of Beans will raise my glucose fast and high. Individually we are all different. I am a THIN Type 1 Diabetic and manage my Diabetes well by experimenting with what works for me. All food will raise your glucose. It's a matter of how FAST for HOW LONG. I do where a CGM that I always compare to my meter, checking to see if the GMC is right. Tip: If you are taking to much Acetaminophen it will make a CGM (continues glucose monitor) go haywire. BTW Best thing I did for myself was a Food Sensitivity Test ordered by a Natural Dr. I have been through many Western Dr.s who never suggested this test. I walked out of a Western Dr. office yesterday. He did not want me to ask questions and suggested he recommended a different Dr. Going back to the Dr. who I liked, who will listen to me. Be careful of Dr.s.
Bell peppers with crunchy peanut butter of which I have eat for years
Blackberries is my go to.
