Thank you so much. Eating only whole plants, I no longer feel sluggish after each meal, but feel invigorated after each meal. God bless!

Hana is really getting good at explaining things. Loved the coach analogy for veggies, also the wood fire one, vs burning paper (for fiber). (Love the hair as well)

Thank you Dr Kahleova and Chuck, this was a fantastic video but please could you clarify what one portion is? E.g. of wholegranis, which I don't eat a lot of as I'm afraid of gaining weight, I stick to squashes and sweet potatoes and I adore chestnuts, so I eat a lot of those too. I am very petite and 58 and my daily calorie requirement has been worked out @ 1,300, ouch! At the moment I am eating about 1,600 a day and sure enough I've been putting on weight. Here's how I cook all veggies, mushrooms, legumes, etc.: I sautee them in a pot with lots of garlic, onions, chopped tomatoes, basil or other herb(s), e.g. parsley, oregano, bay, no oil of course and no salt. At table I add crumbled veggie stock cube for moreish flavour. If I want the soup version I just add more water. They're so delicious I crave them and I'm even thinking of having them for breakfast. Love from London x

Same here, I’m a shortie and require (unfortunately!) quite little calories per day.
What I’ve found is that a mostly raw diet makes it very easy to stay within my caloric needs without feeling restricted - so go for smoothies, and huge fruit and chopped veggie platters :)
I try to eat rice and pasta when I eat grains instead of bread as I tend to overeat on that.
Your serving question: I highly recommend looking up „The Daily Dozen“ by the vegan Doctor Michael Greger. He suggests daily servings of fruit, legumes, veggies etc. and gives exact portion sizes.
In the end: Always listen to your body. I do well if I eat bread but combined with a huge salad, that way I won’t eat too much high caloric stuff and keep it light :)
      Much Love to you!

I looked it up for you:
1 serving of whole grains looks like
      >50g cold cereal or
      >1 tortilla or 1 slice of bread or
      >1/2 English muffin or bagel or
      >30g popped corn.
Anyway, if that doesn’t match with your caloric daily needs and your other eating habits, eat less than those servings :)
The take away message of Dr. Kahleova is to eat whole grains.

Definitely! All of this foods love you back with antinutriants like oxalates, saponins, lectins, with gluten, with fructose... This is really a toxic relationship. You will blame yourself at the end but no, you are not who should be blamed, blame your food.
