6, 10, 16, 25, 35, 50, 70 [mm^2] are standard values for cross section area of electric wires. You can look for closest AWG for each, but there are no perfect matches.
I wish someone made a version of this that came with indenting crimp dies. Those are much, much less sensitive to the terminal size. They don’t look as pretty, but crimp terminal reliability is more important than prettiness :)
I bought one from Amazon that is similar. The thing I didn’t like about it is it is hard to hold the wire and pump it at the same time. I hose clamped to a small board to it so can set it on a flat surface or clamp it to something and pump and hold the wire.
I have basically the same crimper in yellow but the dies are a little different design. Figuring which die for single, double and triple 0 cable can be interesting
Rotate the piece as you crimp in increments rather than just going for broke in one go. It will prevent those wings from forming, but will probably be less pretty otherwise. The really small dies have enough play in them to make really messy crimps.

thats why i dont ever use that mmmm stuff... NOT CONVERTIBLE

Yeah, those indenting dies are really great for reliability.
Great information. Can you buy dies for USA wire, for that set. Thanks Catus

That's a great idea!

Thanks for the tip, I’ll give that a try!
Couldn't you just monitor the sides of the crimp and stop when the crimp starts to swage?
I use a similar kit except the box is yellow. For the price I am satisfied with the kit. Dies are metric so you need a conversion chart.
Metric dies can be a little tricky.
A couple years ago i remember seeing these on ebay for like $20 something
I say “ferals”, “fer-yules”, and maybe even “fer-Yuelz”, at some point in the future. Sometimes all in the same day. It’s all the same thing.
It should come with a third hand😆
Not amazon chinses
Looks cheesy
